I suspect we're all going to Memphis, so to speak. Unfortunately, at least for us west coasters... Anyway, I would guess our laptops are likely all on the same set of pallets, which likely haven't yet been broken down into the individual packages.

Having said that - I hope I'm wrong!! Given that some of us have a day earlier estimated delivery, that works against my theory. Right? RIGHT?

I imagine we are not going to memphis. The flights that left AK for TN tonight (or last night, whichever ones are on flytecomm) None of those left at 1:55. So where do they go?

You know what would be totally impractical but very nice right now?

A little lo-jack type GPS thing in the package we could track in real time :) Watching it move across the map like we do the little "you are here" icon when you are on a flight :)

slackpacker,

after yours left indianapolis, was the fedex tracking information updated regularly? the reason i ask is that i believe ours were traveling together... i also live in the north east, mine also left indianapolis at 6:59pm on saturday, and when i called fedex to check on the status they asked, "are all 40 of these yours?" so i know they were traveling as a group at some point.... unforetunately for me, the fedex tracking site shows no updates for mine after leaving indianapolis and they coudln't give me any information over the phone.

I'm at school at WPI, about an hour south of there, and I'll be driving up between now and this weekend to grab a 15inch high end model. Can't wait.

This stores seems to get the new machines faster than others in the area. I could have had a 2.33 GHz last Thursday, if only they had them with a 160Gb hdd.

BTW, this thread is degenerating into a FedEx contest. Perhaps one of you guys waiting for your MBP to be delivered to your home address should start a separate thread to save the rest of us (who are more interested in the performance of the new machines) a chance to focus on the real thing.

Ok guys, new thread in the macbook & macbook pro main thread, its called are they here yet, lets move all our fedex stuff there.

Hi all, first post - have been a forum lurker for some time..

I ordered a stock 2.16 MBP from Apple Australia just yesterday, and wasn't supposed to ship until Nov 9 and delivery a few days later..

much to my absolute happy surprise I received an email just now saying its shipped! :D :D with delivery on the 2 Nov :D :D :D

happy happy happy!

PS I did order a Glossy screen MBP the day after release, but decided to cancel 2 days later, paranoia got the better of me!

Quick question - who here was able to purchase a glossy macbook pro C2D 2.33ghz from an apple retail store? All of the ones in the bay area seem to be all matte..and the 14 days for me to return mine ends this week :(

Guess i'll have to return it if there isn't a fresh batch of glossy ones headed towards retail stores and wait awhile longer :) Lucky I still have my iMac at home and a work Dell (ugh) laptop as a backup.

Damn... my MBP is on the way o my home:

Now it's 8:30am and I won't be at home before 6pm. Hopefully one of my neighbours will take it for me or TNT will bring it again later in the evening.
If not, I'll have to wait till thursday cause tomorrow is a german holiday.

Woohoo! My MBP is coming today - 1 day earlier than estimated :D

31 okt 2006 08:31 Copenhagen Out For Delivery

Im staying home from school waiting....can arrive anywhere between 9.30-17 :(

This couldn't have come at a better time as i was planning to install XP today anyways.

Anyone have a link to all the Keyboard shortcuts used in XP...like how to right click, scroll etc?

Edit: Wrong thread but if anyone still knows the answer then im all ears

.....also sorted my Airport issues out, turns out i had to disable somthing called 4x mode on my DI 614+ router (whatever that means). Now everything is all spiffy.

Hmm kinda wish i had gotten the 160GB HDD, if i'm gonna be dual-booting, i'll need all the space i can get. Argg! i hate lamenting.

Well, like every other obsessed buyer, I'm watching mine like a hawk. As of 6:09am, it is now shown in the major city in my area. The delivery suburb spot is approx.20-30 minutes north of the city. Think I'm getting it today, despite the 11-2 estimation?

Mine is "Held at Sort Facility" in Indianapolis. Looks like no MBP for me today. Tomorrow... I have my fingers crossed.

My status has not changed yet since yesterday
