All Apps must now go through the App Store or be signed by Apple to run on Mac OS 10.8 Mountain Lion.
How are you on it now?I'm on it now, the most striking thing so far is safari has a chrome like search bar
Well, I'm pretty much through with Macs. I may keep one around for iOS development, but I'll no longer use it as my main machine. Gatekeeper has killed any interest I have in Apple's desktop products. Shame as I do like the iPhone and iPad -- but those are the only reason why I'll even own any Mac at all going forward.
Looks like with the "June" delay of the Ivy Bridge from intel we will see the totally redesigned MacBook Pro/Air line in June at the developers conference along with Mountain Lion 10.8 all at the same time!
I...you're trolling, right?
Are any of you even reading the articles or reviews before posting here?
It's been said dozens of times already, but I'll say it again for you. Only this time in bold.
Gatekeeper has three, 3, as in 1, 2, 3, settings. One of the settings completely turns it off, meaning you can install whatever the hell you want.

With that logic iOS must not be doing well either.
Does anyone else feel that Airplay Mirroring is going the wrong way? That they'd rather be able to display content from their iPhone/iPad/iPod on their Mac than to display their Mac on a TV?

I have a twitter app. Don't need it built into my OS.Twitter integration is nice.

Apple has been pushing app signing since Snow Leopard. If anything, they will remove the ability to install unsigned apps in a future release.
Which I personally think is fine, if they are providing developers with a simple and free mechanism for signing.

Or you could read the OP and see Apple is saying late summer, which is not the beginning/middle of June when WWDC is normally held. In Apple speak, late summer=September.
Fixed. Or you can turn any protection off in System Preferences --> Security --> General.
My bad. Do you know how much RAM is needed at a minimum for the new OS to run?I downloaded the dev preview, how else would I be on it?
Really? Try releasing a product that doesn't allow Corp. users to login to there computers. In fact try releasing a Beta that does work and then release 10.7, 10.7.1, and 10.7.2 that doesn't allow it.
Reading comprehension here is so crappy. I don't go home and play WOW and fiddle around with Safari. I manage a huge corp. IT infrastructure. My needs are different from all of yours yet equally important. Try turning on the TV for the network I work for and remember all of that was produced on computers I manage.
Edit:
As I suspected most of the feedback posted on Apple Dev's site the last 2 years are being implemented. For example Mail Archive folders are now separate. Much cleaner looking and much easier to manage archives from one location if you have multiple mail boxes.
*Wow someone got their feelings hurt by my post! Awwwww
Considering I worked for Apple for 4 years and have been an Apple Infrastructure Engineer for the 5 years working for a major Media Conglomerate, and the only non Apple tech device I own is my EVO 4G I would say as a someone deeply tied to Apple I want nothing but the best. My livelihood depends on Apples success and when Apple pulls these OS stunts how do I explain to my boss whats happening? We have no roadmaps; we have nothing. So many people are armchair IT/CIO's but they have no clue what it is really like to manage 15,000+ computers that all need to be managed at a moments notice.
Doesn't work that way. Apple ships computers with a certain OS on it. That forces us to upgrade due to licensing agreements and OS build compatibility. Not all computers Apple ships are backwards compatible with the OS.
