Verizon Carrier version is 25.1 now. Not sure if that's new. But the connection initially seems way more solid. Was getting intermittent wifi dropping too with 10.0.2 so I'm eager to see if that stops. Will be able to report on that when I get home.

Yay! The cellular thing wasn't a terrible issue for me, but it was starting to get annoying. It seemed to me like it would just randomly decide to use 3G instead of LTE even in fully-covered LTE areas, especially immediately after switching over from a WiFi network. I'll report back if this issue isn't fixed, but I have full faith that it will be since this was so specific to Verizon iPhone 7s.

Thanks- curious about overall speeds-

Is this incorporated into Public Beta 3 then or no?

My guess it yes.

Seems like it'll be in the next beta seed?

Always wondered this... If I am on the public beta program, how do I know that my current version of the 10.1 beta includes this fix? And when 10.1 is officially released, how will my phone know to upgrade to that official release? It seems to think it already has the 10.1 update.

I'll have to see if this performs any differently for AT&T. I was having cellular issues, and it actually turned out to be a bad SIM card. Something worth checking into if you're still having connection issues.

You mean the iOS 10 beta running on iPhone 7's that weren't even out yet?

Fair enough, but I would argue that Apple still should have caught this in internal testing wth iPhone 7 prototypes or internal units they use before they were made available to the public.

At the end of the day, the issue still boils down to insufficient testing on Apple's part.

Installed the update on my 7, and immediately noticed that I got 4G straight away after toggling on mobile data, so good first impression.

Update 1: Dropped back to 3G (2 to 3 bars) while in the same spot after working fine on 4G (1 to 2 bars) for a few mins. Good news is 4G came back without me doing anything so an improvement there at least!

Update 2: Went out today and noticed that the phone still does not connect to 4G automatically despite being in an area with a strong 4G presence. Disappointing.

They might have caught it on a few test units but it may not have scaled to a large enough issue to delay a launch of software/ hardware when it could be patched at a later date.

IMO If you caught 1/1000 it wouldn't mean the entire product launch should be canned

Is there a fix for Personal Hotspot not working? It stopped working when I installed 10.0.0 on my iPhone 6S Plus and it hasn't worked since (have rebooted, have not reset all settings yet because that's a PITA).

I remember when this was first reported. If you turned on Airplane mode, then turned off, you would lose cellular data, which you have to restore by removing the Sim in and re-inserting. Hopefully, this should fix the issue.

I wonder. I've had 2 iPhones 7 and an iPhone 7 Plus on order with Verizon since Sep 19th. They just said "processing" for weeks. But this morning I get shipping notices. I wonder if Verizon was holding iPhone 7 shipments while waiting for this fix? Or maybe it's just a coincidence.
