So after this fix, will that mean that IOS now "just works"?

The "It just works" thing has been relegated to Apple history books...

Its actually quite funny that with the public beta's they have now, that huge bugs still make their way into what should be a finished product.

Fair enough, but I would argue that Apple still should have caught this in internal testing wth iPhone 7 prototypes or internal units they use before they were made available to the public.

At the end of the day, the issue still boils down to insufficient testing on Apple's part.
yea this was one of the things that got me nervous about that new Intel modem- it doesn't matter how much internal/public testing is done - the only way to catch this errors is with millions of users pounding on it.

Someone with an AT&T 7/7Plus get the Carrier and Modem Firmware versions in 10.0.3 after update please.

Here's whats on my AT&T iPhone 7 running 10.1 Beta 3
Carrier: 26.0
Modem Firmware: 1.01.13

Maybe the number of service calls that they are trying to appease to keep the customers happy? After restoring my phone repeatedly, swapping out the device, and several hours on the phone I was offered an appeasement gift.
Certainly possible, just makes it seem that 10.1 isn't exactly that imminent.

interesting you say that - but when we did our internal testing - the only thing we validated were email/exchange, MS Office, Salesforce and HR applications - if Facebook, some IU issue or even the camera didn't work we didn't care and bother to report it. Now the question is, are regular folks testing and reporting issues or they are just happy to be getting new versions of IOS.

Downloading on my 7 Plus.My iPhone has zero stutters and connectivity issues.Regardless,I like updates :D

I lost my 4G connectivity (Vodafone) for the greater part of a day in London last week, resolved with a hard reset - didn't know it was 'a bug'.

Just encrypt you computer. Are a lot of people still backing up to iTunes?
Backing up to itunes makes it easier to switch to new phone since when you encrypt it it saves most of you password setting for somethings. Like wifi settings.

But the iTunes backup password thing shouldn't really be an issue for anyone unless someone physically gets ahold of your computer or some how downloads the file remotely. But than I would think you would have bigger issues to worry about.
Like you said encrypt you HDD.

Keep in mind this is not happening on every new iPhone. Maybe Apple didn't see this with their internal testing...

i updated my iphone 7 to 10.0.2 right after i took it out of the box, it had such terrible battery life that i was almost sure there was something wrong with the phone, had to charge the phone mid day which was very annoying coming out of the full day that i got with iphone 6. recently i downgraded to 10.0.1 and the battery life is now almost as good if not better than the 6. anyone who has updated to 10.0.3 can say how they battery life is?

Apple today released the second official update to the iOS 10 operating system, nearly one month after releasing iOS 10.0.2 and a month and a half after providing the new iOS 10 operating system to the public. iOS 10.0.3 comes ahead of iOS 10.1, a more significant update that brings a Portrait mode depth-of-field effect to the iPhone 7 Plus.

iOS 10.0.3 can be downloaded as an over-the-air update on all iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus devices.

Today's update includes a fix for a bug that could cause issues with cellular connectivity, a problem that only affected the new iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus. Shortly after the iPhone 7 was released, a number of Verizon users began experiencing a serious issue that caused them to regularly lose LTE connectivity on their new device. It was later discovered that the issue affected iPhone 7 and 7 Plus devices associated with other carriers as well, and it should now be fixed for all users.

iOS 10 is a major update that includes features like a redesigned Lock screen experience, a revamped Messages app with a full App Store, a Siri SDK for developers, new looks and features for Maps and Apple Music, and tons more. Make sure to check out our iOS 10 roundup for details.

Did not fix my iPhone 7plus "no service" issues on at&t. Very frustrated. Genius's said it was known issue and to wait for an update. This was not it.

I can confirm the new update provides Verizon version 25.1 and thus far duplicating all my failures pre update work perfectly fine. Also my speeds have tripled I now get 50MB down and 10MB+ up. Was no where close to that pre update

It'all be a few days or so before a realistic/decent take can be made on battery life. And even then things can certainly differ for different people/devices.

Can they put back "classic" unlock mode as it's been a month and I still find unlocking my iPad an unnecessarily frustrating experience. When something gets worse and doesn't get better over time, you get Android.

i even updated to the 10.1 3rd beta in hopes of better battery life but that was even worse. oh well, guess i'll stay with 10.0.1

I have an iPhone 7+ with Verizon Wireless
Before update:
Carrier: 25.1
Modem Firmware: 1.00.04

After update:
Carrier: 25.1
Modem Firmware: 1.00.05

It remains to be seen if it fixes the flaky connection; but I fixed it myself by disabling Voice & Data LTE support to just Data LTE in 10.0.2.
