Is there a fix for Personal Hotspot not working? It stopped working when I installed 10.0.0 on my iPhone 6S Plus and it hasn't worked since (have rebooted, have not reset all settings yet because that's a PITA).
Just encrypt you computer. Are a lot of people still backing up to iTunes?why the **** don't they fix the itunes backup password security flaw asap? i can't believe it.
Because its for 7/7Plus only.Update not available for the 6
It seems like the update references other bug fixes as well as security fixes, so it's a bit odd that it's not being released for other devices (unless all those fixes are somehow only specific to iPhone 7 line of phones).
Or maybe 10.1 is due for imminent release and this release was pushed out quickly to address the service issues people were facing with the iPhone 7?
1.00.05What's the modem firmware on 10.0.3? It's currently 1.24.00 on 10.1 beta 3.
My iphone 7 is running on vz carrier 25.1 with ios 10.0.2 and has the problem, we'll see what happens after i upgrade to 10.0.3Verizon Carrier version is 25.1 now. Not sure if that's new. But the connection initially seems way more solid. Was getting intermittent wifi dropping too with 10.0.2 so I'm eager to see if that stops. Will be able to report on that when I get home.
you just get used to itIs it just me or the closing animation stutter has been improved a bit on iPhone 7/7 plus? That's what I'm noticing so far on my 7.
My 7 is updating, but the partner's 6 says software up to date. sounds like you might be right!
I haven't had any issues in Verizon since installing the beta
I wonder. I've had 2 iPhones 7 and an iPhone 7 Plus on order with Verizon since Sep 19th. They just said "processing" for weeks. But this morning I get shipping notices. I wonder if Verizon was holding iPhone 7 shipments while waiting for this fix? Or maybe it's just a coincidence.
10.0.3 update only applies to the 7/7Plus.Update not available for the 6
Also - I seem to recall that it required physical possession of you machine. if that's the case then nothing will help you.Just encrypt you computer. Are a lot of people still backing up to iTunes?
Yes, for two reasons: 1) iCloud backups don't include passwords (or has iOS 10.0 already changed that) and 2) restoring from an iCloud backup requires downloading all apps from the cloud again (which at least in the past has sometimes taken multiple days). iTunes backups also allow you to have backups of the backups.Just encrypt you computer. But why release 10.0.3 at all then? Its already been a month, whats another week?
I believe it's called a discussion in which interested parities can participate.Feeling left out or what?
Testing never ends. Even after having an OS version run on a billion iOS devices for a year, new issues are discovered and fixed. Remember, iOS 9.3.5 was released on 25 August 2016.Fair enough, but I would argue that Apple still should have caught this in internal testing wth iPhone 7 prototypes or internal units they use before they were made available to the public.
At the end of the day, the issue still boils down to insufficient testing on Apple's part.
