Well, I've just upgraded my SE (from 9.3.5).
OTA installation, and no problems at all. The performance seems to be the great so far.
I've gotta say it, it's good to see an update like this (with the file system thing) roll out with a general sense of "it works", instead of the tsunami of complaints.
Now, I have to learn to disable my morning alarm by tapping the screen, not sliding it.. Damn you, 6 years of iOS use... :p:D

This is interesting. I did mine via iTunes with no issues at all. Did both of my boys iPhone 7's OTA and both are stuck at the white screen with the progress bar almost completely done. Its been like this since last night. Rebooted the phone a few times with each time asking me to enter the pin in order to upgrade. I do that then the white screen with progress bar comes up. Stuck in this loop now.

reachability on the home screen in ios 10.3 pulls apps on top of the dock rather than beneath it compared to the previous version. not sure which is better visually though i understand this new version is better as it doesn't inadvertently hide the bottom apps anymore.

Just updated my iPad Air 2 and iPhone 6s via iTunes. Didn't look at the iPad space before the update but the iPhone gained around 400MB of free space. Overall, I find mostly everything the same as 10.2.1 but my devices were fast and smooth before the 10.3 update and they still are.

I noticed huge battery drain on iPhone 6,and i updated it to 10.3 today early. Just yesterday from work to home i had 70% battery left. Today i have 39% and i didn't used my phone extensive as yesterday.

Memory drain? Or battery drain?

I was wondering the same thing.. Never seen this before. On entering my password and completed the setup I received an error msg on my Mac: "keychainsharingIDSproxy quit unexpectedly", so my guess is has something to do with the keychain.

Or maybe 2-factor auth?

Well, I prefer using iTunes when upgrading from one major version to the next, which was my case (9 to 10). But somehow, last night, my iTunes still showed 10.2.1. Since I didn't want to wait, and the majority of the feedbacks here were positive, I chose OTA, and all went well.

I hope your kids phones issues are solved by now.

I'm not noticing a revamped open close app animation. Is it just for newer devices? iPhone 6 and iPad Air for me.

iPhone 6 as well. Updated OTA this morning too. And first thing I noticed was a major battery drain.

My phone is much quicker now for sure (iPhone 6). Will have to see if the random crashes go away.

iphone 7 plus and no new animation, no rounded edges.

have they removed this from the final
Rounded edges definitely there. Just maybe too fast for many to notice, which is the real improvement. iPhone 7 here.

I was really satisfied with phone performance on 10.2.1. Indeed 10.3 has better performance, but battery performance is reduced by 40%. With this update i must recharge my phone 3 times a day.WTF

I got 6GB of space after updating.
I'm assuming all these before and after space numbers are before any update is downloaded. Otherwise you have to adjust the results based on the update file size. Also the after numbers reflect the safari cache cleared and misc temporary files and logs cleared and possibly app caches too like twitter and photo app caches.
I would tend to believe the numbers are more closer to each other than is being perceived.

Does this fix the notification sounds bug where it doesn't always alert you that you have a new message?
Does this fix the long standing WiFi bug where you have to turn WiFi off and then back on to get Safari to work?
I am still facing the problem of missing notification sounds and also notifications vanishing from the notification centre.

Interesting as I am not seeing this. Which phone are you using? I'm on 10.3 on an iPhone 6 and reachability sure pulls apps beneath the dock - nothing changed compared to 10.2.

Wait until you have had a full 24 hours with the new OS, I'm sure a lot of caching / setting up is happening in the background that's eating in your battery now but will have stopped in the next few hours / days. Here's hoping!

If possible can Apple release APFS only update for older iPhone 4S, it will benefit better space efficiency for 8gb iPhones.
Same for my Powermac G4 please!

Huge performance improvement on my old iPhone 5 16Gb.

Lately it was freezing all the time. I know it barely has 100 or 200Mb free, and it might be one of the reasons. The other reason being that I don't remember the last time I did any reset or restore.

Nonetheless, I updated to 10.3 last night (this time I used iTunes) and it feels more alive. No more freezes for now.. :)

Battery consumption might be a little better, a little lower, but it's too soon to draw a conclusion.

I highly doubt it. I was up to beta 5 for a few days and switched back to 10.2.1 to get better battery life.

Anyone else getting (or not getting) this massive battery drain on the iPhone 6? That's very disconcerting.

I got that error message during the beta period.
I think they're trying to make Keychain more secure and it's causing a few bugs.

Probably indexing. Wait a day or two after installing the update.
