The other day, running 11.1.2 or whatever it was prior to 11.2, my X did the same thing, but it also didn't respond to buttons, or tapping the screen. I had to do a hard reset to make it respond again. First time that had ever happened. Here's to hoping it doesn't becoming a recurring problem.
I've been getting some weird freezes and odd behavior on my iPhone X as well. And I started with a clean install. Went to the Apple Store yesterday to have it checked out and the genius was pretty frank with me. He said that iOS 11 has has more weird little bugs like that than any release he remembers, especially on iPhone X, and he (jokingly) pined for the days of 10.3.3, which he believes was a highpoint of combined functionality & stability for iOS.

He said that I could reinstall the OS if i wanted, but he wasn't sure it would help. He said these weird iPhone X freezes and hiccups seem to be getting better with each new update, and that monitoring my phones behavior with each new relate might be the way to go. And since reinstalling the OS is a pain in my arse, I'll just wait for bug/behavior fixes.

And still no AirPlay 2. What a garbage, buggy, half-baked OS iOS 11 has been.
If AirPlay 2 were going to be in the 11.2 release, it would have been in the betas; it wouldn’t just appear in the final.

With HomePod due by April 30, AirPlay 2 should be released within the next three or four months, unless HomePod gets delayed again.

Did your charger come with a block? Or are you plugging its usb cable into a block you already had?
I’m using the Samsung fast Charging pad (the one that lays flat) with the adaptive fast charge wall plug that comes bundled with the Note 8 (the one they recommend).

Havent timed it or anything yet, but was wondering if there’s an obvious way to tell, like how Samsung’s say “fast charging” on the lock screen.

It seems the key is what charging block you use. Most of the cheaper charging pads dont come with an AC block. Just a usb cable. So the weak link is whatever the capacity of the block is. For example, if you plug it into a 5W block, like apples, then it wont be fast charging. So you need to buy a charger that comes with the block, and which says its 7.5W.
Anyone got one thats a good price? Link would be great...
That’s what I thought at first too, so I had gotten this wall charger that’s 2.4A/24W (although the 24W is split between two plugs). But there is still some uncertainty about if it will provide fast charging. Only the two chargers sold at the Apple Store, the Mophie and Belkin, work for certain. Some think a manufacturer's ID tag triggers the 7.5W capability because some chargers that are above that wattage still do not work. You’re right that the two Apple endorses have their own power block which may offer better wattage control and therefore safety. Apple may be taking an ultra conservative approach to ensure the phone does not get to hot while being charged wirelessly, and severely restricting which chargers can push the higher wattage.

2) In the 11.2 beta releases for Beta 3 and Beta 4 and Beta 5 (at least, we did not have Beta 6 long enough to know- and it's production now) We saw a bug that could in it's worst form prevent your iPhone from being a phone. At the least it would break your voicemail.

If you think this is a serious problem, you have the wrong idea of what a beta is. Use a beta on your daily driver, deserve whatever happens to you.

Apple Pay cash nowhere to be found on my iPhone X in wallet settings. Already have 2-factor turned on. Tried turning it off and then on again. Also not showing up on my iPad Pro. Anyone else experiencing this?
Good lord, do none of you read the articles and comments that follow?

Samsung Fast Wireless Charger here and only 10% from zero in 20 minutes. It was faster before the update

Not happy with update. On my X I was able to switch apps by sliding my finger left to right or visa versa along the bottom. Not any more. Getting to switcher by sliding up halfway is iffy. It’s sluggish too.

Works on my X, maybe restart the phone to see if that fixes it.

Um, not all devices were rebooting every little bit...
Well clearly enough were that Apple did what they have never done and released an update at 12:15AM on a Saturday to address the issue. They must have some info you don't as far as how many are effected. But the bottom line, that answers your initial question as to why they released it before Apple Pay Cash was turned on.
