No Apple Pay cash for me after the update. I got chase and Bank of Ameria debit cards linked. So it’s not just one bank.

I use my iPhone 8 Plus to shoot a lot of family videos, so I’m really hoping it makes EIS better shooting 4K...

don't update yet wait for the 11.2 reviews to come up first before update and you can have ios 11.1 ipsw download backup just incase you updated to 11.2 and noticed slowdowns but i'm hoping this release addresses the slowdowns and lags but it's positive since it was mentioned in the release that fixes a keyboard slowdown ...

No, don't listen to this advice. 11.2 has been through the beta paces for months now and this crash bug is very nasty to get. 11.2 perfectly fine.

Do you get the metalic click when you swipe up to close the control Center from the bottom bar?

It is a strange haptic with a click in it. Feels broken.

I do not have that haptic on the X in control center, but I have the strange haptic when going home. It’s annoying!

My iPhoneX is a BRICK after the update. I updated right after I saw the notification that there was an update last night and the update went fine and I selected one of the new wallpapers and then went to bed. Now 5 hours later my phone won't turn on at all. It was on a wireless charger all night. Was anyone else bricked after the 11.2 update?
I did a restore through itunes/computer.

This introduced some haptic feedback when going home. It’s annoying. Is there a way to disable it?

I got rid of it by disabling vibration under accessibility but that disables all phone vibration and isn’t really a solution for me because I like to have my phone on vibrate. Apple keeps designing the operating system for children! We don’t need to feel a vibration to go home.

I'm not on an X so I can't test for you but have you tried turning off this switch?

I am not sure how you can say that. Through the majority of the Beta cycle we were tracking major bugs that were not getting fixed. We had Beta 6 (now the production version) less than 12 hours before it was released to the public as production. No one can know about it's quality. We simply did not have enough time to tell.
I'd say this: IF you are suffering the date bug and your device is in the reboot loop then Yes upgrade to 11.2. If not WAIT.

Yep. Wireless charging isn’t working at all. It’s been on the charger for 10 minutes and the percentage hasn’t changed. Worked fine before the update.

Is it just me but is wireless charging not working at all since the update. I’m using the Samsung fast wireless charger and the battery percentage doesn’t seem to increase at all.

"Other improvements and fixes
- Adds support for faster wireless charging on iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X with compatible third-party accessories"

I don't think a Samsung charger is listed as compatible on the Apple website.

What a dumpster fire....Timmy has officially lost control of Apple. Who in their right mind pushes out production code on Friday at midnight?

He prolly has the Code Slingers working 16 hr days 7 days a week now. I’ll bet they all stay together in a common bunk house on the old campus.:apple:

I get it when swiping up to close control center but not when I go home as I read your original post.

It worked before the iOS 11.2 update now on the Samsung charger though. And says it’s charging. The battery percentage just doesn’t move.

Anyone notice this? Searching for something in settings causes it to appear multiple times. I don’t remember this being the case before this update.

They would have had to deal with the issue anyway, and not releasing something sooner than later probably would have been worse. With the 11.2 beta 6 already looking like it was the intended public release for 11.2 anyway, seems like while the timing got pushed up and came up unexpectedly, the version that was released is most likely the one that was going to be released in the next week or so anyway.

Bug’s Life

Same bug here.

I don´t get any haptic feedback if I close the control center anymore.

It’s funny...we complain about the little things...on Android side, some go thru MONTHS without Bluetooth functionality in their car.

If one was paying attention during the beta process for 11.2, one saw that new things were getting broken as other things were fixed. As has been noted, this is beta software released to the public. As we have been discussing, Apple's software QC process is itself broken. We are truly in troubled waters here. Lord only knows what customers will find broken here now.
