First 5 texts and couple email messages so far aren't showing up at all on my watch...at least I got some notifications before :(

Still not getting email notifications on my work email using the Mail app. Tested several times. Specifically, I set a vibrating notification and a sound notification whenever I get a work email...still a no go.

I hope there is better performance in this as well. I noticed recently when unlocking at times that faceid takes longer and then animation for the lock to unlock lags, with a bit of lag entering the home screen.

installing now

It's a little better for me (I use a pin to unlock the screen and since iOS 13, the virtual keyboard on the home screen often does not register all key presses when I type quickly), but still not on iOS <=12 levels.

Downloaded and ... trying to install. The phone restarted as normal during an update, but now it's just the Apple logo with the spinning-wheel progress indicator below it. That's been all for about 15 minutes. Suggestions? Wait it out? Power-button reset?
I hard-reset the phone while it was in that state (Vol Up -> Vol Down -> hold Power). That worked... it fully reset back to iOS 13.1.2, and now shows the update as ready to download and install again. Nervous to try it again!
My iPhone 11 Pro Max is stuck on the Apple logo with a spinning circle below it after verifying the update with Apple...It has been 30 minutes.

Same issue here with my 11 Pro. First time that's EVER happened to me after 11 years of iPhone ownership. Did a hard reset and am now trying the OTA update & install again. Apple really needs to get their sh*t together!

EDIT: Third time was the charm. Same issue on attempt #2. Ridiculous.

waiting for 13.1.4 next week ;)
Well, it's been two weeks since iOS 13.1.2.
Wake me when 13.2 is released. Tired of dealing with 13.1.X updates.
Quite likely there will also be 13.2.x updates too.
I'm glad they are fixing, but Jesus Christ Apple, can you possibly release an OS with more bugs?? iOS 13 has been a bad joke thus far.
You can always take a look at the early days (as in weeks/months) of iOS 11, 9, 7, for example.

Making excuses for iOS 13 by pointing out prior bad OS issues is an EXTREMELY poor excuse for this software to be so bad. If Apple can’t get software right out of the gate then they should stop the yearly updates and wait until they get it right before releasing the endless betas that they are giving us as final releases.

Not sure where excuses were made, simply observations about reality.

Hmm, no fix for the random restarts? Or is that a hardware issue?

Certainly, random patches. I mean, it's iOS 13. What else would we expect... But seriously, it is amazing that a sole-source environment like this can have such a huge spectrum of inconsistent problems.

I noticed that as well and retrained Face ID and removed alternate appearance (wife’s face)
Anecdotally I’ve noticed marginal improvements especially at some obtuse angles.

Most of the time I send a text and this (!) comes up in red and says Not Delivered 😡

I find it an acceptable trade off. iOS 13 was fairly stable for me out of the gate, and I have found the newer features worth the odd bug here and there, vs the extra month of waiting.

Knock on wood, I think I finally am. Fingers crossed.

you mean humans who take a working OS and then proceed to break almost every part of it and rush it out and release it as an update... yeah you can’t really defend this from Apple.. Cook and the board should be given pay cuts for this total mess of OS updates they’ve done.
Clearly you’re not a developer or you would know that you cannot add new features without affecting existing code. And, the chances of things going wrong increases as the code base grows.. and the code base has to grow if you want new features.

People want new features or they accuse Apple of stagnation. But, when new features are added those same people complain that there are bugs. It seems that some of you are in it just to convict Apple of wrongdoing regardless of what they do. Maybe the Android world would be more suitable for you? You’ve been on these forums since 2008 and have posted over 12,000 messages.. you should have tons of patience and experience by now as well as a much thicker skin.

I don’t like these issues any more than you do, but I choose to make the best of a bad situation instead of crying over something that really doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things.

What's wrong with CarPlay?
CarPlay has had issues for some users; either wired or with bluetooth.

Sometimes CarPlay starts, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes you can unplug your cable and plug it in and it'll work and sometimes it won't.

With bluetooth, users can be listening to their music and it just randomly cuts out.

There's at least 3 threads on this with various model vehicles and phones. It worked for me today, but we will see if the update helps.
