But what was the point of everyone outside the USA getting 18.1 when it doesnt do anything new.
I had to remove all the languages (English UK and French) across all my devices - now it finally updated on my iPhone 16 Pro - still waiting for 15 Pro, Mini 007, and MBP
And yes the new Siri animation is very cool - now where is the Siri HAL voice?
Did Apple ever mention the fact that you'd have to join a waitlist before actually getting to use any of the Apple Intelligence features? Been looking forward to this update for weeks just to update only to find out I'd need to join a waitlist after installing (sounds like I likely won't be waiting long but still). Did I miss a memo?
Added the other languages back but kept US English as primary - all working still and the rest of the devices updated.
What a disappointing update this is, especially for us in the UK. No Apple Intelligence unless I switch to US English, not a chance in hell of that happening. No Hearing Aid feature on the AirPods 2 either. I can't find anything that is actually an update! Why could Apple not realise Apple Intelligence in more languages than just US English, this is either sloppy work, or a rushed release. Apple Intelligence was announce months ago, but most of it won't be available until well into next year. How about Apple not announcing stuff until it's almost ready, rather than a year away.
Especially not even other variants of English, you know.. the one from England.
A waitlist on a public os update. Apple has again lowered the bar.
The photo touch up feature is available to everyone who has 15 pro or newer I think
Unless one just downloads one of the many many other quality photos retouching apps where not only has this been available for years, but one can also use it on any device.
A waitlist for features advertised in 18.1....advertised at launch as well. This is a total joke.
Let's just hope that Apple playing the long game on all this results in some genuine, mature progress. Somewhat confused right now.
