YAY!!! My old 3G is actually usable again now that I have 4.1! :D

Games run smoother, opening the iPod app doesn't take forever and/or crash, opening the txt message thing is much faster, etc.
So it's almost like it was before iOS4?

Also guys, the update takes a bit to show up when you click "Check for Update" just keep hitting it every couples seconds.

Proximity sensor still works like ass. It does not shut off if I slip the phone in my pocket, etc, causing things to get inadvertently selected.

Sh...t! I installed and now my jailbreak and unlock are gone! Help!!!

Hehehe joking :)

You gotta rock the latest hardware baby.

(Sorry, it's funny every time, after that guy posted it 20 times in that one thread in the iPhone section)

You know that the proximity sensor only switches off the screen during a phone call, right? That you're supposed to hit the sleep button before you slip it in your pocket?

Maybe I've had my head stuck in the sand, but I see on Apple's site that 4.1 supports wireless, bluetooth keyboards for the iPhone. Is that new? Has that been around? Has that been talked about much? Again, I may have simply had my head in the sand on this one. Thanks.

 no increase for anything on my 3G..... it was a good try though.

It's still slow as s**t after the 4.1 upgrade? As of now, I can manage my own memory using sbsettings on a jailbroken 3G with 4.0.1. If I am not gaining any speed, I am not going to lose the little control I got over the memory management that I have now.

It's not supposed to turn the phone off when you put it in your pocket. It's for shutting down the screen when you hold the phone to your ear. You're "problem" is solved via the button on top of the phone.

Hopefully the CNN app will no longer crash on my 3G about 80% of the time I try to launch it.

Dang... 40 minutes! And it's about to get worse - I told the other 4 staff with iphones in my office to get the download as well. We have the worst internet here!
