OK, just spoke with an AT&T rep and they said there was a meeting today about not charging for the Hotspot feature. She reviewed my account and said there is no additional fee for it. I don't have tethering at the moment and all of my lines have the unlimited data. Has anyone heard this yet from AT&T Cust Service? It has to be some bull or maybe a surprise. Just had to ask. Thanks. :D

Yep, a lot of bull that an AT&T rep fed you:D

iTunes isn't seeing 4.3 for me...weird.

Not available for CDMA/verizon iphones or iphone 3G models just so you know.

What "more" section? I'm referring to the iPod app on the iPad, not the iPhone. The iPod app on the iPhone does allow you to list the albums within a genre, but the iPad does not. The iPad just pops up a little list of songs when you tap on a genre, which is another stupid thing....I have thousands of songs and I've got to scroll through individual songs in that little window to browse a genre?

you did go to the "more" section rite?

Don't know if it has been said, but those lousy txt tones that we got with 4.2, some of them have been shortened. Ones I've noticed are Spell, Calypso, Choo Choo (now just 1 Choo), Fanfare, and Ladder. Bug I found so far is even if you have Vibrate off (above the Ringtone) and go through the txt tones, it still vibrates. Doesn't vibrate when a txt comes in though.

Thanks for the tip! I didn't know about the new txt tones with 4.2. I was just going through them (4.2 versions) and they are all WAY to long especially if you're texting back and forth; glad to hear they are shortened.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8F190 Safari/6533.18.5)

This seemed to make my OS overall snappier! Also, for the longest time, my iPhone and 2nd Gen Apple TV were both very slow to download YouTube videos. I tested both today around lunch, and they both seem much faster at downloading vids on YouTube! I check again tonight when there's more internet traffic.

One thing I noticed: I can't double stream video, although the audio plays. That is, I can't stream video (personal home video or purchased videos) from iTunes to my iPad and then stream it to my Apple TV via Airplay. Unless this is a bandwidth issue with my wifi -- I'm upstairs and the base is downstairs -- I think it's intentional. Home sharing is protected and limited to a specific Apple ID that must match on iOS device and the iTunes library, while Airplay is not. If I could Airplay something I'm streaming from my iTunes library to my iPad, I could, in the right wifi environment, send it to my neighbor's Apple TV w/o authorizing his ATV w/ my Apple ID. And that would violate the "home sharing" principle, in that I could give him access to purchased, protected content that he did not purchase.

How come?

How come that the default password for tethering on my newly updated iPhone 4 is "babes1121"... Comon... I mean "babes" seriously. Apple has humor???

Grainy Thumbnails in Photos

Has any one else noticed that the thumbnails in the photos app have gone grainy but once the picture is selected full size that is OK! It might just me but i don't think it was like that before?

I find this on the iPad, don't know about the iPhone yet as that is just updating!

Humm....

Did Multitasking Gestures come out, because I'm able to use them. :D

It probably will but you wont be able to kick it out of recovery when its done.
Not 100% sure though since TU hasnt been updated for 4.3 support.

Yeah, I got the regular baseband error in iTunes but I couldn't get out of the recovery loop, Tinyumbrella's Recovery Fix just kept on crashing on me, not sure if it's because it might still be in Beta or it doesn't support 4.3

I strongley disaggree.

Nah, I just have no need for that feature.:p

The only part of the update that is useful to me is the increased browser speed.....that is, if it will increase Atomic Browser's speed as well.

Then at least get the "you're" correct, you're using "your" which is stupid.

Can't wait to get home to install this update.

Does anyone know if you can share music from your mac to the ipad, and then play it over an airplay speaker system? I can't find anything about this on Apple. Is there even a decent Airplay speaker out yet?

Camera starts faster

Is it just my impression or is the camera app starting much faster (iPhone 4 and iOS 4.3)?

Everything seems to be okay with iPhone 4 and iPad after a short test. Apple TV 2 is saying 4.2 after the update.

If you hit the center button on your remote on this screen it will toggle to show iOS4.3. This is confusing, but apple has chosen to show it as Apple TV version 4.2, which is actually iOS version 4.3.

This is really messed up. I seriously don't see their rational for keeping it a number behind.
