Yep, and it works very nicely too. Even works stearming to iDevice then AirPlaying to AppleTV

That seems fairly awkward. If an AppleTV could play video (all video, not just the limited formats that iTunes will swallow) off of my MP, I'd buy one in a second. I'm tired of having to burn stuff to a DVD and carrying it to my DVD player.

I have just installed the new update on my O2 UK Iphone 4. I can confirm the following:

Safari is awesome, much more snapier like everyone else has said.

3G signal bars in my house has improved from 1 bar on 3G to 2/3 bars. On Edge its always full bars anyway.

Personal Hotspot has been tested and it works great. Tested it using wifi, and bluetooth on my mbp. I do have internet tethering, so i am not sure if this is only available if you have internet tethering.

Anyways I am well happy with this update. Thank you Apple

Do you pay extra to O2. If not where the hell are my hotspot options!

I'd like to see an apple TV that allowed DVR recording, importing into itunes and carrying around w you on the phone or ipad... now that would be a killer, little machine. although it wouldn't make much sense since apple TV is made for us to spend money, not save....

Wow what an easy update.
Downloaded the firmware via Safari using iClarified's list:
http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=750

Dropped the file in:
/Users/spencers/Library/iTunes/iPhone Software Updates

Connected my iPhone and opened iTunes to let it sync/backup.

Clicked update and wait....

Always works like a charm.
Just had to make sure my hosts file wasn't modified by TinyUmbrella first.

I can't seem to stream video from my safari. Quite annoying. Home share works though.

I think sites need to put a special line into the coding of the page to enable AirPlay streaming.

I noticed this too. However how the hell do you stop it vibrating?? Even with vibrate set to off it still vibrates!

Oh and another thing how do you make the mute switch the orientation button. there is no option to do this.

Update has no changes??????

I updated my phone to 4.3 but it looks the exact same as before with no changes. In my settings there is no option for hotspot or airplay, etc. There is no facetime icon either. There is literally no difference except on the about in the settings it says version 4.3 WTF!!!!

You will only see FaceTime on a call. You will only see AirPlay in iPod, if devices are detected, and you will only see hotspot if your carrier allows it. I don't have it either

I've been using 4.3 for a few days and I haven't seen that yet either.



Looks to be about the same for me. I'll have to pay attention to a particular part of my commute when the signal, without fail, drops and see if that's been improved (I think it's a bad handoff). I haven't been streaming anything recently.

* Ping features
- Push notifications for comments and follow requests
- Post and Like songs directly from the Now Playing screen
- Parental controls


Anyone know what this is in reference to?
I dont see the option to like songs in my iPod

"Airplay Improvements"?

I'm sorry but I haven't noticed (hardly) any Airplay improvements yets. When I use the Lynda.com app it still just plays audio through Airplay..not video. Lame! One improvement I did notice was that if you select to play through the AppleTV then it seems to remember that preference when you switch apps.
