If you wanna be an ******* about it, there's this neat thing called OTA UPDATES.

Am I the only one who has always and only ever updated their iPhone via the Settings --> General --> Software Update?

I see all these people using iTunes and what not...

Then again, since I'm always within range of strong FIOS level WiFi.... maybe that's it.

If you're on wifi, or have unlimited data/good data plan, then there's literally no reason to use iTunes to update anymore.

Which part confuses you? I don't own a computer so it's difficult for me to update my iPhone. Nearest Apple Store is 90+ miles away. Not happy.

You don't have access to wi-fi either? When the update became available, I was shopping. Thus, I used the mall's wi-fi connection. Took some 10 minutes to complete the update.

Crap, sorry, when I tried earlier it told me I needed to plug into a computer and use iTunes. Now it allows me to update direct from the phone. Apologies, very strange behaviour though.

I haven't heard anything about that it shouldn't work in some countries (but I might have just missed it, of course).

Are you sure you have a subscription that includes LTE? They are still quiet expensive in many countries...

My carrier they say 4G/LTE is included in all subscriptions

I think people are surprised that someone would not own a computer in this day and age. :)

In this day and age there's actually less reason to. My iPhone and iPad can do almost everything I would use a computer for, so I'm holding fire for the moment.

LTE are in most common data subscriptions in Denmark, no extra charge, we're literally just waiting on Apple to update our carrier settings through a small update. C'mon Apple!

Yes!

Facebook app has always sucked since I can remember it being released. For a company so big they sure do suck with their app.

Not trying to defend Apple or anything, but man that app has sucked lol.

Doesn't load, pictures don't upload. Says you have comments on a picture and go to the picture and they are no where to be found. Crashing ,etc.

And don't forget you can't share things your friends might have posted nor can you seemingly deal with tags very well.

Besides the Exchange meeting fix, what fixes are there in this update for iPad? Also, are there any batteyr life imrpovement that you guys have noticed?

Thanks,
wws

Does it fix the issue with keys not registering towards the outer edge of the screen?

ughhhhhhhh

I wouldn't say it's Apple's fault, but clearly it has something to do with iOS 6.0.1

There's a lot of evidence that this is a coincidence, since the problem was happening to some folks before they upgraded.

An iPhone IS a computer in this day and age (and easily a super-computer compared to big machines of a slightly earlier age.)

True, but at least for me (I guess every person is different) it cannot replace all the usage-cases of a computer.

However, I can admit that if not for work (I need to be able to fix things remotely) I likely would be able to leave my laptop home when traveling these days.
