Saw a couple other posts but I'm surprised I'm not seeing more. After updating my iPhone 5 my music has all been deleted. I had like 30GB of music too! Are there others seeing this?

So, to confirm, this special "iOS Updater" app is an iPhone 5 only thing, right? I shouldn't have to see this on my 5th Generation iPod touch or, for that matter, anything that isn't an iPhone 5?

Same here.

App Store -> Genius -> CRASH

App Store -> Updates -> Purchased -> CRASH

It's the same in 6.0.1 as it was in 6.0. The App Store crash is 100% reproducible.

On the bright side, Facebook still works for me.

Well when I got to the app store, go to updates and click on "PURCHASED" it still crashes the app store.

This has been since day 1 with iOS 6. Not sure if it's something that needs to be fixed on the server side or the OS side, but I am shocked they didn't fix it.

I had those same problems, also my springboard (the home screens) kept crashing. It was on my 4th generation iPod touch, which I took to Apple thinking that it was defective for having the problem after wipes and restores. Were the two of you experiencing this on a 4th generation iPod touch?

I just want to see some of the basic bugs fixed. Random crashing here or there; using about double the data I used to (even though I haven't changed my data use patterns; if at all I've been using more wifi) --- reminds me of the Verizon bug that was spotted right away, but I'm on AT&T . . .oh well. I've just been getting used to the "you've used 65% of your data" messages. Odd.

WTF. After downloading the 'updater' app (seriously?), I attempted to update my phone. Firmware downloaded as per usual, phone reboot itself, and then.... I receive an error saying the software could not be updated. This was followed by having to completely restore my phone! Argh. What a waste of time. I have no idea why I even bothered.

No one else getting this?

I am getting this also, anything under 59mins is fine, setting all of the hours breaks it.

This is on my iPhone 5, this is also on my mums 4S  (UK)

Roll on 6.0.2 :D

Same happened with me (as well as many other unlucky people)
I got a message the next day after I bought my iPhone (and hooked it up with a new SIM and account) saying I used 75% of data, next day 100%.

Apple should reimburse everyone who had to pay more for double data usage because of a bug in iOS 6...

Wishful thinking...

I like how you guys all blame Forstall as if you know the inner happenings of Apple and saw him singlehandedly coded iOS. He was here since NeXT, where were your guys' praise when all the successful products came out?

Lol Forstall, iPhone 5 shipped with a bug that doesn’t let it get OTA updates.

So glad that muppet has been given the push, with any luck we should start to get updates that don't kill battery life or screw up WiFi or corrupt data etc. This update will have been produced under his watch though so better wait a while before updating.;)

Am I the only one who has always and only ever updated their iPhone via the Settings --> General --> Software Update?

I see all these people using iTunes and what not...

Then again, since I'm always within range of strong FIOS level WiFi.... maybe that's it.

Or maybe cause you're a noob and only just joined our ranks since iOS 5!! hahah I kid I kid...

No, he didn't code any of it but would have been in charge of all the processes and QA that lead to the mess we see today. Him being at NeXT has nothing to do with it and whatever he was doing when the successful stuff came out also has nothing to do with it, he has screwed up big time with iOS, Siri and above all maps. He was unable to do the job he had and was therefore kicked out, simple as that.

I feel left out again. I haven't been experiencing any of the "bugs" that so many people are suffering with since 6.0. Updated my 4s and iPad 3gen with 6.01 and I'm still not having any problems.

It's so lonely having one of the handful of functioning iOS devices in the world. :(

Every apple blog reports 6.0.1's release. Not one person can explain what the hell "Consolidated the Use Cellular Data switch for iTunes Match" means. Last I heard "consolidate" meant merging into something. They just removed it.

Am I right in thinking Apple couldn't/wouldn't resolve the cellular data bug, so they just REMOVED THE OPTION?

Long overdue...

I really hope this fixes the iTunes match wifi bug. If not, it will be a long 1-2 months until 6.1 is released or until I can upgrade my phone with Verizon in Jan 13. Then comes the big decision, do I stay with Apple or move to Android...

I wish this fixed the oversized OTHER problem!

I have a 64GB iPhone 4S with about 10 gigs of apps and 17GB of OTHER. I've heard it is data but I know I don't have that much. I did the 6.01 update on my Mac (I normally turn iCloud off for updates, backup to my MBP, then install the update. I figure restoring from the laptop is faster than from WiFi. Right after installing my 4S showed 53GB of OTHER, with nothing else, but everything appeared normal on the iPhone. Turned Sync to iCloud back on, and resynced, and it's all back the way it was, but with 17GB of other. I've done a restore, restoring from backup, but it didn't work. I could do a clean install, but hate to lose all my game progess on some games.

Does anyone know if restoring from iCloud would get rid of this? I'd like the 15GB of free space I used to have.

Update: After scouring the web and finding nothing that would help, I fixed this. Restoring from iCloud vs the computer got rid of the huge OTHER partition. I now have 1.87 GB, but that beats 17GB. I now have an extra 15.3 GB of space on my iPhone! Once I restored, I did get a message that it couldn't be completely done, I did see all the app icons on the iPhone, even though they hadn't all downloaded. It said you could restore from iTunes. DO THIS WITHOUT changing the Backup to this computer. This way you won't reintroduce the corrupt data, but you will download everything that is on the computer to save hours of time. Hope this helps someone.

I wonder what mistake was made on the iPhone 5 that required the pre-update. Also, will that pre-update be exploited by jailbreakers?

Just because fb crashes coincide with the apple's release of 6.0.1 doesn't mean its because of the update... I'm still on 6.0 and fb crashes seconds after opening it. However, I think the problem has been resolved. My facebook app hasn't been crashing like it was a couple hours ago.

Not trying to defend Apple or anything. Just saying
