my wifes 4s battery is pretty crap on 4.0.1, i know 5.1.1 is meant to be better but we never got around to updating, I know its prob too early to tell for most but for the ppl that have had ios6GM is ios6 going to be better for her battery or worse??
I find it funny that everyone thinks Apple's maps will be as complete as Google Maps which has been around since 2005.
Apple is saving a boatload (I suppose maybe not to them) of money by doing this in house. It'll get better, just give them time. The vector mapping system is already much superior. I hated having to wait for my maps to load as I was moving (especially on my "throttled" data connection). The points of interest will increase and I don't know about everyone, but while street view is cool - I NEVER actually use it for anything.
In fact, I just had to google how to get there - I haven't used it in ages lol

Been testing that. I'm getting about the same as I was on 5.1.1. But thats only with about an hour of testing. True test will be a full day tomorrow.
I know its a small thing but FINALLY no asking for a password on free apps/updates...been wanting this since the app store opened.

Looks pretty well, the blue colour in some apps you do need to get used to. At first I thought the phone got in tethering mode. What I still don't really get or doesn't work yet is the Passbook. Seems like a neat app for boarding cards and loyalty cards...but the app only has the app store button which goes nowhere...
Further seems like a pretty solid OS. Goes nice and smooth! Let's see how the 10.8.2 update behaves!

Ah ok, my bad. I can't look yet, still stuck on my update. I sure hope there is one for the iPad, I use youTube on there all the time

That happens a lot. Depends on the shipping carrier. I wouldn't worry though. My (r)iPad showed the same thing, but arrived right on time. Took the day off from work to wait for it

Passbook is an iPhone/iPod touch feature
not yet, its only for the iphone. You will have to go through the browser to youtube.com. im sure it wont be too long before they release an ipad app tho if there is one for the iphone. I use youtube far more often on the ipad.
I can't believe more people aren't talking about the ability to stream your iTunes Match library OTA. I'm looking forward to not having to take up space on my device with music!
Before anyone makes the smarta** remark, I know Android has this...all 7700+ songs in my library are uploaded to Google Music and stream to my Nexus 7. Just excited I can do it on my iPhone now as well

Passbook is not available on the iPad
If I recall correctly when you first link your Facebook account it mentions that it can pull your Facebook contacts into your regular address book but does not do that automatically. At least it didn't for me (like you I don't want this part). If you do want it then in the settings app there is a toggle to make it happen.
