Apple Releases iOS 7.1 Beta 4 to Developers

Looks like auto brightness is working again at least for iPhone 5 where is wasn't working for me in beta 3

I wonder if it's just the app not working bc version hasn't been modified to recognize the new build or if the exploit itself is patched.

Just fix Safari crashes, that's all I care about.

I had Safari crashes pretty much daily on my iPad Air on iOS 7.0.x.
Ever since 7.1 beta 2 and 3, I don't recall having had a single Safari crash.

There's still tab reloading but that's a lot more acceptable than crashes, even though I do wish the iPad Air had 2GB RAM to eliminate those as well.

There's a difference between being patched and not being supported yet. With beta 3, a modified version of Evasi0n was released to support it, and I assume the same will happen with Beta 4.

Just installed beta 4 on iPad4 and I must say its smooth as silk .....

Not all companies get the day off actually, so, while not exactly expected, I guess it's not completely out there either.

The "Slide to unlock" label is also larger.
So large in fact that since my iPhone is in French, "> Faire glisser pour déverrouiller" gets clipped.

iOS is already optimized for English only anyway.

Stuff in final releases always get clipped when in French, so I'm not sure they'll fix that before 7.1 gets released. Happened with iOS 6 too, that "Rechercher" (Search) label in Safari was wider than its container rounded rect.

You'd think they'd use the UILabel adjustsFontSizeToFitWidth property they created themselves, but nope. Not very professionnal.
