Its smoother and a lot faster now. I still don't see any option to upload data from My Fitness Pal into HealthKit. Or is this something we now have to wait on the devs to add?

If you go into recovery mode:

1. Turn off phone
2. Unplug cable
3. Turn on phone holding down Home button
4. When "Red" iTunes symbol shows up let go of Home button and plug in cable
5. Restore phone (In recovery mode)

Not saying your instructions is wrong.

But I did an upgrade from 8.0.1 to 8.0 via iTunes. Works for me great. Its fast, one reboot.

Good luck all.

Thanks all, my phone roll back to 8.0 with the recommended links to IPSW and instructions.

Save my life. Going to have Girlfriend rage without the phone options.

How did you roll back to 8.0? Do you need to delete everything?

Here are the links for iOS 8 for the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. It looks like it might only be affecting those devices? I'm going to attempt a restore/downgrade via iTunes.

iPhone 6 Plus

iPhone 6

These links were reversed. iP6 is 7,2 build 12A365 and iP6+ is 7,1 build 12A366

[Edit] I just quoted the orig sorry. The links here are now correct.

I've downloaded 8.0 trying the option/check for update now

Hope this is a temp workaround for calls/touch i.d;)

Thats not my problem, when I hold option + click on itunes update or restore, it doesn't let choose the ispw file, it just says that I already have the 8.0.1 intaled.

Wait, can you clarify? The 6 IS 7,2 or the original link had it as 7,2? Because the post that you quoted has the 6 as 7,1, but I could have sworn I downloaded from that same post about an hour ago and I got the 7,2 for the 6...

Downgrade to ios 8 fix

Download the appropriate firmware file for your iPhone below. These must download as IPSW files, it can help to right-click and choose “Save As”, be sure the file saves with a .ipsw file extension

iPhone 6 Plus (7,1)

iPhone 6 (7,2)

Once you have the iOS 8.0 firmware file, you can use iTunes to downgrade from iOS 8.0.1 back to the working release of iOS 8.0.

Connect the iPhone to a computer and launch iTunes
Option+Click on “Restore iphone” (Alt+shift+click Restore iphone for Windows) and select the newly downloaded iOS 8.0 IPSW file to restore to
Let the restore complete, this will downgrade the iPhone to iOS 8.0
When finished, you can choose to restore from your most recent backup.

Phew. I'm glad I was napping because I would of downloaded this as soon as it came out and end up with a headache. I'm sure when the next new update is release everyone is going to think twice installing it #. I woke up to all the this chaos from Apple. Is it me, or is Apple been slipping lately ?? Hmmm

I've restored it to 8.0 but now I cannot restore my iCloud Backup : Your iPhone cannot be restored because there is a problem with your backup data. Chose a different backup to restore from.

WTF ???!!!!????

So all the ipsw's area taking forever to download. I'm stuck on iOS 8.01 with no service and now have to go to work with no phone. Cheers Apple!!!!

Guys, please somebody tell me how to restore my iCloud backup after downgrading to 8.0??? It doesn't want to apply it when I restore my phone and all my settings, contacts and messages, apps are gone.
