iPhone 5s (Verizon, 64 GB) and iPad (4th Gen., wifi only, 64 GB), both from 8.0 (didn't install 8.0.1). Both working fine with OTA update.

Works (so far) on my iPhone 6.

I'm using the iCloud Photo Library beta; the update deleted all copies of my photos and videos on my phone and is downloading them again from iCloud.

There seems to be an issue restoring photos into albums (my albums are emptyh), tho all photos are there. It's not done yet restoring tho, perhaps it's assigning the photos to the right albums only later in the process. FWIW I have about 14,200 photos and 250 videos in the iCloud Photo Library.

I can just imagine what Tim said before they sent this release out the door!

This one had better be right, or .......

released it at 5pm pacific time.. means they were working on it all day yesterday and today just to push this update out to us.

Not really. Less than .005%
They were probably not updating it right ;)

Well I did 8.0.2 before its pulled out and works fine. Goodluck to those who were having issues.
It was to the 40,000 who bricked their phone with the update. It would be if you were among the 40,000.

I noticed a subtle change: The Flashlight feature uses the amber truetone LED now so that the light is less cold. I like it!

No issues here, AT&T iPhone 6.

I'm the lab rat:......update is working well on my iPhone 6, Touch ID very smooth, cellular working fine haven't had a chance to play around with anything else yet....so far so good!

OTA for 5s and iPad 4. No issues. iPad seems much better now.

I bet you'll find that 99.99% of Apple day-one purchasers (myself included) are so happy we bought day one. After all, the prices never really drop until the next one is out. So why miss out?

I never miss out, ever. I've had every iPhone and know Apple's strengths from years as a customer. I'm neither an impulse buyer or impatient. My happiness is not dependent on toys, I've got a few other new flagship smartphones as well. With great choices I'll wait for Apple to work out the bugs. It's fine with me if I just leave my iPhone 6 in the box till things improve.

Please help: I'm stuck on a loaded and install waiting 8.0.1 on my iphone6. It loaded over OTA but didnt install because of low battery. Now it's not searching for 8.0.2 and if i try to install it says that i'm not connected to the internet which i am.

How can i get rid of the loaded 8.0.1 in the queue ?

Lmao

Funniest thread I've read in awhile.....as for me, still showing "iOS 8.0 Your software is up to date" message on both iPhone 6 plus and iPhone 6 here.

I can imagine many people going to Apple Stores claiming that their phone just broke itself or bent itself without even being touched. I guess these users may have unknown power of telekinesis.

I think most people have had an experience where we look at a bruise and say, "Where did that come from and why am I just now seeing it?". If humans are capable of not feeling something that has pain sensors and is physically attached to us, it's not a stretch to imagine that we're not always aware of where our phone is and what is happening to it.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that not everyone with bent phones is either a Samsung shill or a liar. I do believe that the 6 Plus is more than durable enough for everyday use, but so was the 4/4S and the 5/5s. Didn't stop some people from breaking their phones.

News.com.au has posted that their 6+ is still broken with 8.0.2.

Come on apple, really? All of these issues is telling me the is the pivotal point apple carries on in its tech position, or it starts its slid down the rankings.

If that's true, it seems that maybe this is a australia issue. I saw another complaining about not connecting to "telstra", which is an australian carrier.
