8.0.2 is solid on my iPhone 5 as i can tell and i am pretty happy with it. When i first updated to 8.0 i thought my iPhone 5 was finally getting too old to get along with the new OS. Now with 8.0.2 the old smoothness is back!

I had issues yesterday with 8.01, and had to reinstall 8.0 last night.

just updated to iOS 8.02 OTA and everything seems to be fine on my iPhone 6 ATT, also updated my iPad air ATT with no issues.

updating to 8.02 put my phone in recovery mode. what a POS update. 1st time I have had a problem. iPhone 5 verizon.

Yeah people probably went over to Samsung and downloaded a dodgy copy from there.

Based on your posting history, you are clearly an apple hater bashing apple at every chance. No doubt making false claims about your iPhone not working, etc.

Updated old iPhone 5S (just for the hell of it) new iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air and iPad Mini..... Updates via OTA went ok on all four devices. :)

iPhone 4S 8.0->8.0.2
Verizon

Recommendation: do not update
Details: completely wiped phone off to factory settings. Thanks to itunes for restoring it to my previous week-old back-up.

No more updates for me until November or 8.1 (Feb?)

I can no longer do OTA updates. My Apple password gets rejected every time. But if I log into iTunes, I can do the update that way. I'm going to try 8.0.2. I didn't do 8.0.1.

I had the same issue initially with iCloud account.
If you restored from older iPhone backup then just try deleting the iCloud account from settings and re-creating it. Before doing that make sure you are not behind any VPN or firewall. May be enter the password over LTE and see if it works.

I'm not an Apple hater, just not an Apple lover, when I pay good money for stuff, I expect it to work. I know a lot of people here couldn't care less as long as Apple makes money, everything is alright.

I don't have an iPhone but was going to buy the iPhone 6 Plus, but based on the big bezels and flimsiness decided against it, thank goodness.

I currently have 2 iPads, a Mac Mini and an Apple TV, have had 4 iPads all told. My iPad Air is currently running like a snail due to IOS 8.

Ripleys Believe it or Not.

Yup. Mine was worse. It gave me an error and would stuck in recovery mode. I had to run down to Apple Store to restore. Maybe, it was something wrong with iTunes. Wifi update may work.

I have issues, iPhone 5 64GB

I lost my trust for the first time in Apple.

Never updated to 8.0.1, went directly from 8.0 to 8.0.2

All my home folders went away, all apps are floating around out of folders, I had like 800+ app (don't ask why, I use a very big percentage of them) and arranging them again into folders is just a waste of time, why Apple!!!

Android is a Bul***t, will never switch due to such mishaps (if you are asking), I was happy with the Apple eco system and iCloud integration, but now I am just hesitant even to upgrade to iPhone 6, cancelled the idea.

what a waste of time...

No problem with my iPhone 6 on 8.0.2. The whole process was quick; it took about 10 min.
