I'm not an Apple hater, just not an Apple lover, when I pay good money for stuff, I expect it to work. I know a lot of people here couldn't care less as long as Apple makes money, everything is alright.

I don't have an iPhone but was going to buy the iPhone 6 Plus, but based on the big bezels and flimsiness decided against it, thank goodness.

I currently have 2 iPads, a Mac Mini and an Apple TV, have had 4 iPads all told. My iPad Air is currently running like a snail due to IOS 8.

Ripleys Believe it or Not.

You can say that, but don't expect people to believe you.

The problem is that they posted two tweets basically saying the same thing in just 11 minutes.

Anyway yes they got me here to post a reply, they won :D
One tweet mentioned a potential issue they were noticing and asked for more feedback. And the next tweet was in a more firm form essentially saying there's more confirmation that there's some issue that is likely present. Again, basic Twitter use when dealing with ongoing developments of something. What's exactly new or surprising or strange about it?

Just finished upgrade to iOS 8.0.2 with iTunes onto a new 64GB iPhone 6. Quick test shows that I still have AT&T cell signal and Touch ID is working. WOOO

Just installed and it has bend my phone !!!

Grrr :)

No seriously, I'll get my IP6 tonight, thanks you guys for testing :)

No issues here! Just updated iPhone 6 (Verizon 128GB) and iPad Air to 8.0.2

Everything works fine and apps stayed as I had them setup prior to update. Went from 8.0 to 8.0.2 - thankfully skipped 8.0.1

It was to the 40,000 who bricked their phone with the update. It would be if you were among the 40,000.

Of course it was a trouble for the 40000 and my deepest sympathies for the issues they faced. But cmon give the company a break. I work in s/w development. **** Happens and I can bet quite a few developers did not go home yesterday and they fixed it today.

All I am saying is it does not warrant this:

Its like iPhone bending gone haywire. Its metal and if you apply enough force it will bend. Will it bend on normal use - probably not unless u sit ur ass on it or try to do something ridiculous. Basically things get overblown but if you put it in perspective AAPL ytday screwed up and it affected ~.004% owners. That %age is way less than the number of people who would go without food today. One day without phone would not have killed anybody. Hope those 40000 did better things like spend more time with friends and family in the past 24 hours :)

I'm taking the gamble with my 5s, just need to know will this add the bendy feature found in the iPhone 6? :D

Lots of people apparently seem to be confused thinking that this is a discussion about phones bending.

In the past, MacRumors NEWS articles weren't directly linked to Twitter posts. They would post an article, and if some major point of that article changed, they'd post an update. If a person posted a new twitter post that related to a MacRumors article, it would go in an "UPDATE: Someone had this to say about issue X" instead of creating a new article, thread, etc.

The issue is: MacRumors News Articles are directly linked to forum threads. If they are now creating a new article based on each individual twitter post, and then transmitting that into a new forum thread...

It's becoming click bait. If I wanted to use The Twitter, I would stay signed in and actually pay attention. I have used the Macrumors RSS feed since 2006 or so because it was a good source of new product rumors, tips, tricks, etc.

Not because I wanted 12 articles a day, many of which refer to the same issue.

8.0.2 no issues on 5S. OS seems a tick more responsive honestly. Haven't tried Safari. :)

Well obviously! Didn't you know that most hardware integrity issues are fixed with software updates? </kidding>

New articles based on each individual tweet? Where is that happening?

Updated via iTunes, 16gB Verizon 6 Plus, cellular & Touch ID working smoothly. Safari feels snappier.

Edited to add iPad Air updated OTA without a problem.

Weren't 8.0.1 and 8.0.2 supposed to make it so that third party keyboards can be used when entering the passcode or when quick replying from the lock screen? It's still not letting me do that

iPhone 6 Plus 64GB ATT: flawless on update
iPad Air 32GB: flawless on update

No problems here.

Sorry for those having trouble.

Wonder what tomorrow's headlines are gonna be after tonight

That may be intentional, as 3rd Party Keyboards have the ability to record everything typed into them, and stored on their private servers so their system can "learn" what you type better as you use it.
