iPhone 6+ 128GB on AT&T updated perfect

Updated from 8.0 with no problems. Also updated iPad Air, and iPad Mini Retina. Air from 8.0.1, Mini from 8.0.. zero problems. Seemed to put some snap into it.

Wow, this site is still non-stop milking on this story on Twitter and Facebook. Can't believe it.

Some good news from Oz! I did a clean install of 8.0.2 using iTunes on my MBP and now it works again. Service and Touch ID is back! Haven't restored my latest backup yet but will try that later.

Phew!

Thanks for sharing, I'll restore my iPhone 6+ thru my iMac whenever I get home to see if that will resolve my iOS 8.0.2 issue as well

Update:

It's possible to get it working if you download a full copy of 8.0.2 and perform an update via iTunes.

Mine initially had a problem going from 8.0 to 8.0.2 OTA, then used iTunes to "update" to 8.0 then update again to 8.0.2.

Good luck.

I'm using an iPhone 6 on Virgin mobile in Australia.

edit: could it be possible that they've stuffed up the 8.0.2 OTA update with 8.0.1 which was subsequently corrected, so some users are reporting that OTA worked for them?

edit 2: I didn't need to restore, just used the update option.

Restart
power down and power back up
resetted Network Settings

multiple times ^ after OTA update from 8.0 to 8.0.2
same result: "Searching...." and Touch ID no longer works

will restore thru iMac later

This is a JOKE.

How much stress is Apple causing its customers? The programmers that work there need to be replaced ASAP.

I have the same model phone. 8.0.2 is working flawlessly for me on Verizon. 8.0 was giving me fits earlier today. Try Resetting the Network Settings.

That's the first thing I did.... then i also went for a hard reset. Same issue. I'm going to attempt to restore to 8.0 and then try to upgrade again from iTunes instead through the phone itself.

you failed math.
And the proof of that is where again? Exactly. If there's any failure it would seem to be in reading and/or general comprehension on someone's part.
