That's a low memory error. The only thing to fix it is add more RAM or Apple modifies memory usage algorithms. That would be a major change and wouldn't be in iOS 8. Maybe 9 or later. This is just my opinion.

That's horrible then because it never happened on my iPhone 3G, 4 or 4s o_O

It didn't start to happen to me on my 4s until I updated to iOS 8. biggest regret for me. But I'm okay with it for now, as I'll be getting a 6 soon.

BL.

Has this fixed the safari problem where it always refreshes tabs or pressing back button on a website? I won't update until that's fixed.

It doesn't always do it. It depends on how many tabs you have open, etc.

But it's always had that behavior. An iOS update isn't going to change that, if a page reload once in a while is going to prevent you from updating, you're probably going to be waiting for new hardware.

Still using the opening day iOS 8 release that came with my new iPhone 6 - someday, someone, will give me the all-clear sign to load updates - until then, I'm fine.

Actually yes, mine always does it. Even after closing out all apps and having 3 tabs open. It will always refresh switching between tabs or pressing the back button. I remember before iOS 7 the page would stay where it was (say halfway while reading an article ) and not use unessesary data to refresh the entire thing.

Anyone have comparisons for wifi stability and/or speed on iP6? I mean from 8.1, 8.1.1 to 8.1.2?

This updates fixes the lost ringtones issue.

Que the ... does this solve the (insert issue)? How is the battery life? /sarcasm

Ha, exactly. Battery life claim every time. Seems many of us have zero issues with battery while others complain about it nonstop. Seems many don't realize that if you're on your phone using battery-heavy apps all the time, you're going to see shorter battery life. Rather than work with Apple to find out where their battery is going (they have great tools to track it), they just like to cry about it online which will never solve their issue.

It happens quite frequently on the 6 and 6 plus too.

Coming from a 6 to now a 6 Plus, I can tell and say that the 6 can hold a tab or two open longer then the Plus, it has slightly more RAM available over the 6 Plus,

Sometimes my tabs reload on Safari, but otherwise on my 6 Plus , multitasking and switching between apps has been as smooth and very quick responsiveness once you go back to another app, 6 and 6 Plus are really fast phones

See, I'm hesitant with that in Apple's current state. Slow and steady updates to address problems without introducing new ones.
That would be fantastic if they went to a 24 month major upgrade cycle rather than 12. With such a short cycle there is almost never the opportunity to have a stable environment before all bugfixes are held for the next major release.

So Apple customers are (A) lazy or (B) stupid.... It's the user's fault. I think I've got it.

Whenever Apple releases new iOS builds, I always come here first and read through the comments to see if anyone's phone has been bricked because of it.

It's kind of sad that's what I have to do now to guarantee I won't lose a day of productivity while I wait for a workaround, or another patch to fix the patch.
Isn't that a rational approach that people take (or should take) with pretty much anything new, and applies to things beyond software? A new car comes out that you are interested in, you generally don't really just jump in and buy it without some research on it and hopefully some reviews and perhaps even a test drive? Doesn't really seem to be "sad" or anything like that, just reality of things that has been present in humanity for ages now, and especially so in the more recent centuries when technology has become more widespread and has been advancing at faster and faster rate.

Honestly, apple is falling off. Why don't they just take their time and release a stable iOS or Mac OS like they used to? I mean is it really that hard?:confused:

How many updates do we have to do before Apple get's it right with iOS8!? This is the most updates we've had to do in a short period of time and it probably still won't be right..

Damn, they just can't get iOS 8 right at all. Just imagine next year (software year) when iOS 9 comes out. :(
It's terrible that Apple are releasing these updates to fix issues. No software is perfect.
You're missing the point. I have no problems w/ them fixing the issues and I'm aware that no software is perfect.
So...what is the point then?

pictures:rolleyes: nope sorry not more than enough. sufficient for the grandma that takes a few pics a month maybe.
Can still be sufficient even for someone that takes a fair amount of pictures and simply offloads them to an online and/or local backup on a regular basis or even here and there and doesn't end up keeping all of them on the device.
