Finally can choose between 2G, 3G, and 4G LTE!

It's a nice feature to have especially in fringe networks where the 3G or 4G LTE reception is lower than 2G and the phone likes to drop to the much slower network.

Is this with AT&T?

gotta go get a new sim for mine, att sent me a text cus i swapped my 5s sim into my 6+, then ill be able to try apple pay

Hmmm.....no support for a Barclay Visa card....the one I got from apple

They are in the "coming soon" category, not the coming at launch category. I also have a BarclayCard Arrival+ card that is my primary card. But my Chase Visa and Costco AMEX enrolled without issue. Chase required a verification code, AMEX did not.

They can OPT OUT-----Whether thats of all NFC transactions or not is irrelevant.

Haha. Please. Apple Pay works in the US on any NFC terminal. Yes, I guess you could say credit cards don't work at stores where they threw the terminals in the trash either.

Actually, that is false. I work for a developer in the credit card industry. Apple Pay is simply the communication between your phone and the card reader (The NFC reader). The POS system then sends the encrypted information to the credit card processor, which then sends it to the bank for approval.

It's a tokenization method, much like some POS systems are tokenized. This allows you to not have to worry about your credit card getting stolen by clerks or other methods as it's encrypted from Apple to the NFC reader, but from there, acts just like a normal credit card transaction.

What this means is that the POS system needs to be capable of accepting NFC. Some POS software needs to be updated to support the latest API for NFC.

Mirror image of a credit/debit card payment thats all to it.

k this needs to be put to rest. They have to SIGN UP for :apple:pay!!!! lol thats why Tim showed what stores were PARTICIPATING lol......

No, just no.

Stop spreading this FUD.

You have no idea what you are talking about.

You have 25k that aren't in Apple's iTunes library? Most of your songs probably don't apply to the 25k, that's the number only for those Apple doesn't already have.

Actually idk whether or not it matters if they're in the iTunes store library or not. When I try to sign up it just gives me a message saying I'm over the 25k limit regardless. hmm

No they can't. They either have NFC enabled or they do not. Apple Pay is irrelevant.

yes correct. except i completely disagree with the angle NFC is irrelevant thats why stores are saying they are OPTING OUT OF APPLE PAY. not NFC transactions because the general consumer has no idea what the frick an NFC transaction is.

Is it not possible to use touch ID for apple pay separate from touch ID for the lock screen? It's only letting me set up apple pay if I lock my home screen. I have never locked my phone, and don't plan on doing so.

Did you try disabling "iPhone Unlock" under the Touch ID settings?
