Look, I've scrolled past about a dozen of your posts where you have backtracked when people have called you out.

Maybe you should just call it a day and go outside, or at least go troll somewhere else.

good for you? because you control all. lmao because ppl like yourself assume they know everything. I misspoke at first when i said sign on i shouldn't have said that that was false information. Everything else I've explained. why are best buy and walmart publicly opting out of support of APPLE PAY and not just saying we don't support all NFC transactions? ( I UNDERSTAND APPLE PAY IS AN NFC ****ING TRANSACTION)

Updated my 5S and took about 3 minutes for the Wifi to drop out. Really unbelievable they can't be bothered to fix this.

hmmm Your kidding right!? I hope!! Or you are totally uninformed. First the NFC system needs to support Apple Pay. So it requires the provider, vending machine or whatever to support this service (i.e. McDonalds). A vending machine is a horrible first test. Please try a supported service and one that is online. I feel you may wan to read a bit more on Apple Pay as the fact you ran over to use this on a vending machine tells me your either a troll or not paying attention.

That being said a lot will not be supported today but that will change and who knows, whoever makes your vending machine may do an update to support Apple Pay but that I feel will be a long time coming... Now go educate yourself it will take all but 10 minutes of research. Much of to be found on MacRumors or even Apples website. Good luck!!!

Your sarcasm detector is low on fluid.

No good unfortunately, tried reboot, reset, restore, no luck #

Works fine on the retina mini though

Fixed it, carrier update fixed safari browsing over wifi! Miracles will never cease.

Now if only some clever person can hack the iphone 5 to support wifi calling like we did on yosemite for handoff, il be chuffed...

Swift

Went to McDonalds and Walgreens for lunch...Apple Pay experience 5 stars. Quick

Just like iTunes Radio, Apple Pay seems to be US only

I'm in the UK, and despite the UK (and the rest of Europe) having had NFC for ages, the 8.1 update does not even let us add a card to it

Given Apples lack of speed in rolling out things outside the USA, I think I will be seriously considering Android next time I get a new phone (as at least Google rolls things out outside of the USA)

I'm in the UK but have a US bank account as i travel there often, anyone know our options for adding a card as the above there is no option to add one for UK users.

I can see the UK rollout being a long time coming if iTunes Radio is anything to go by.

Looks like we'l have to carry on with Paypal for the forseeable future :(

I added both my CapOne and AMEX. However, for the AMEX I could not get it to work with the photo capture, and had to enter the number manually. I think it is because it couldn't read the numbers on top of the centurion guy in the middle. Anyone else ran into this issue?

Because they have competing systems that they want people to use.

Is Handoff working for anyone? It was before the update, not anymore now.

MBA and iPhone 5s.

For the people who got SMS relay working...

Are old SMS messages popping up on your other devices? Or only new ones?

thats a great question I've been using sms relay for a minute now since 8.1 beta came out and then before they took it away during the 8beta cycle so i have no idea. someone who just added support for it; answer!

Anyone having difficulties getting the SMS relay to work on their Desktop Mac or Macbook?

Yes. You need to be able to send/receive enabled for both your phone number and apple id email address for it to work.

Does anyone else find iOS 8.1 even slower than 8.0.2?
Testing on a crappy 4S, which was adequate on iOS7.

Thanks to any fellow 4S users :)

PS: Not looking to get into a debate about how "old" the iPhone 4s is, or how I shouldn't have upgraded because it should be expected that "it will run like crap". Apple made the update available for the iPhone 4s, which was on sale up to last year (iirc), so it should be optimised to run on it, imho.

OK, so I went to my vending machine and where you put the dollar bills I waved my phone. NOTHING happened. Tried twice. Apple Pay = MAJOR FAIL.

:mad::mad:

You actually have to throw it at the machine after you press on the TouchID. Try to aim for the soda you want or it might give you the wrong one.

I tried this earlier and it worked flawlessly. Excellent work, Apple. Excellent work.

Woo! Installing now. Looking forward to SMS Continuity. As well as the other stuff. ;)

They aren't on board because they have they own "consortium" of retailers opting into their own merchant system called MXC. Think of it sort of as brick and motor retailers creating a payment system themselves. Honest opinion and appears to be a public opinion is, it'll fail. It'll take a year to a year and half before it goes to the wayside. Here's a LINK to explain it better than I.

Finally, Apple has an official response to this meme.
