Apple Releases iPhone OS 3.0

Got that too, now a useless phone and I keep getting that bloody message!
 
New icon??? - call forwarding

The phone with the arrow sticking out in the upper lefthand corner - it's when call forwarding is enabled.

Will all my old apps work on 3.0? For example i have "Galcon" and in the AppStore it doesn't say that it was tested under 3.0....

Duh, ?

OMG - Im not even home. What am I gonna do ? New software is out. I cant even download it for another eight hours. Poo-poo. AAAAAARRRRRUUUGGGGHHHH. My life is crumbling before my computer screen. :):confused::eek::mad::rolleyes::cool::p;):D:(:apple::eek: fuhbuggles.

not sure why but my phone is activated and i cant set it up at all its as if itunes thinks its trying to activate it still. i just want to change my carrier file and add apps and cant
 
Love that SMS preview is now off by default...that used to get me in trouble :p. On another note...just got confirmation that MMS is working

So the update seems to have completed. I now have the connect to iTunes message on the phone, with emergency unlock option. When iTunes attempts to load the iPhone device page, it says it's trying to access the iTunes store. I get a message that the request could not be completed, that the network connection timed out on Vista. Not that random error code some of you guys are getting.

I suppose this means the servers are just busy and nothing is wrong beyond that? What happens if I emergency unlock my phone?
 
I don't seem to have the Battery Percentage on my 1st Gen iPhone after the update. Also.... I noticed in the General Settings in the Home section.... You can now set your double click on the home button to Search or Camera ^_^ Convenient...

So i updated my iphone "2g" or whatever, and its not unlocked anymore :( i heard that it would be "in most cases"

So i just wait for an unlock to be released for the old iphone?
Or can i unlock it and restore to 2.2.1 or something? (do i have to use my Mac for this then? And can i do this with my unibody mac?)

Same exact thing is happening to me.
 
2G unlocked not working after 3.0

IT DID NOT WORKED. Despite recognizing my carrier and allowing me to make and receive calls, my iphone now works just for emergency calls.

It says that the phone is unable to connect with Apple Store, and ask me to check my status or try again later.

Now we know that it is better wait for dev team and them update.

Lesson learned.

But, no problem. I'll wait and keep posting.

I am running into the same thing. It use to take maybe 5 min at most to do the backup as I have a lot of apps on my iPhone 3G. But now it seems it is taking forever. Like 20-25 min so far and it is still not done. I hope this is the only time it will take this long. This is dumb to have to wait this long.
