Finally!!!!

I had tried switching back to the iPhone iTunes page dozens of times with errors. I closed iTunes a few minutes ago, but just now when I opened it my iPhone finally activated.

You all work out the bugs before I get home in 4 hours and try to do this.

So get them bugs worked out then I will do it when I get home from the work day

Subscription Calendars?

I can't find the options for subscription calendars/CalDAV anywhere in the Settings. Am I just missing something?

I noticed that you can sync them on iTunes now, even if you have MobileMe, but I thought that there were options to activate them on the phone...

UPDATE: I found it. Settings App and choosing Mail, Contact, Calendars. Then tap Add Account, Other, and Add Subscribed Calendar.

Hahahahahha, freaking nerds:

I got the download super fast, only to be denied here.

I've just noticed that iTunes isn't recognising my 3.0 iPod as being registered with my MobileMe. It was in 2.2, and both the iPod and computer claim to be connected to MobileMe ... how should I fix this?

Thanks!

Is there any way to modify the spotlight search parameters? It is searching through my gmail spam folder and returning "want to be bigger?" type results.

CALL TIMER!!! I love that I can now see how long I've been on the phone after my phone call is disconnected! It's about time! Funny that even my calls placed before the upgrade are showing the timer...2.1 had the information stored all along it seems.

Email - Sending more than one photo at a time is also a great bonus too! I just sent 5 photos!

No MMS button or settings

I read half and skimmed half of the new itunes user agreement... 40something pages! Of Course I accepted.

Argh

I hate nothing more than having something new to play with and it just doesn't work :-/

Seems like I have to try over and over to activate :-(

Cheers!

Tethering works!...posting this via USB tethering. Wonder what billing implications will be though (no bolt-on)

Did you use the 9-5mac version? I downloaded the ipcc file that they had a link to, but someone said it was the at+t one. Does it all seem safe on your iphone? Apart from possible billing implications of course.

not syncing

So, it appears to be updated to 3.0, but of course nothing was personalized, no apps, no contacts, etc.

So, I did a sync to the BACKUP that I did this morning, but it just continues to STALL out on applications installs, updates. WTF, I mean THAT shouldn't require any store authorization, should it?

So, I cancel sync and try to resync, but it just hangs there NOT syncing.

So no mail, no contacts, no applications, nothing is sycned over. Is there a real problem doing a restore from s 2.2.1 BACKUP to a 3.0 OS?

Activation server error

Activation server error...i tried restarting and disconnecting....all i can do now is wait.

Seriously this stupid activation server thing is driving me nuts!! Just when I thought Apple had learned how to do it correctly again...NOPE.

They used to be SO on top of their game...

I've quit and started itunes 10 times, unplugged and plugged in my iphone many times...still nothing. This activation server problem is aggravating!

This is really annoying now... i wouldn't mind if i could use my phone but i can't!... been waiting for hours and trying now...

As a 1st gen user this **** has gone on to long now... this always happens!

Aw! I got sent a present from O2 :) I wonder if its worth 4 texts from my bundle sending them one back to say thanks? ;)

If this were ATT the message I would be sending back would be:

_,|,,

(hint: it is a hand)

(another hint: as much as I would love to take a picture of my own hand and send it I wouldn't be able to as ATT bungled MMS. Hence my SMS reply above).

Sometimes I wish we would have kept the whole "colonies" status....then us Yanks would have MMS as well (and snazzy accents to boot...)

Negative Rating for Server Error

I'm rating this "negative" for the frustrating server error problem that has made me restart, disconnect, reconnect, and spit over and over and over

You cannot downgrade from 3.0. Have you tried going into DFU mode?
