Am I missing something?
I did a restore from b3 backup.

Are you on a 3G?
Wait, you restored from a Beta 3 backup? Aren't you supposed to do a restore with the Beta 4 firmware?

3GS 32G
I meant that I installed b4 through XCode then used iTunes to restore my last backup (from b3)

I'm assuming that last you meant to say what you said earlier, that after installing B4, you restored your apps and settings from your last B3 backup?

From what I've read around here, I don't know if you're supposed to do that. Most of the people I see are saying you're only supposed to do a clean install, no restoring. Then just sync your apps and music, without restoring.
I guess someone else here will have to help you out.

Paying For Tethering?!!!

Hey guys can anybody confirm wether or not you have to pay for tethering? I am currently downloading..... i am just very curious!!!

Thanks!!!

Exactly. The backup was from b3.
I'm pretty sure that this IS how to do this as Xcode is what allows you to perform a backup before restoring.

I think that's just for a fresh start, not a restore from backup.

My observations: b4 > b3 > b1 >>>> b2. It feels a lot smoother, and a lot of the bugs in Messages.app are gone (or I haven't found them yet)

I did not install the b2 but I completely agree. B4 is the best so far.

Can you clarify this statement? Are you saying that the two missing items only appear when one does a restore/re-install from scratch - as opposed to restore from backup?

I'm restoring my settings to the new beta and I have two questions. Do we have a list of new updates/features?

2) Does it fix the folder syncing issue or is that still a problem?

Once my full restore was compete and I synced back my apps, music, etc., all my folders came back too.

This is on a mac with the latest SDK loaded too.
