I bet there are lots of people preparing to comment "What's Apple going to do next? It's their last chance of getting Leopard fixed because after 10.5.9 they run out of numbers!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!?!!???!?!?!?"

Seriously, I'm joking.

Last Tiger version was 10.4.11 (unless I missed one).

And some applications freaked out when Apple went to 10.4.10, because it thought wrongly that 10.4.3 > 10.4.10.

CUPS printer driver for HL-5280dw for wireless printing still broken.... :(

Did the install, first restart was fine, second one it threw up a kernel panic. I am thinking that this is not the update's fault though, as I have had probably half a dozen kernel panics on CPU 0 in the last 3-4 months... Here's hoping that a clean install of Snow Leopard in September will solve the problems...

Unlikely. Repeated kernel panics are a good indicator of a hardware problem.

Corrupt patch file?

I can't install the update on an Intel-based Tiger system (currently at 10.4.11). I get a message saying:

The digital signature for this package is incorrect. The package may have been tampered with or corrupted since being signed by “Apple”.

Anyone else seeing this? (See attachment)

Wait, you are trying to install a Leopard update on Tiger? Please explain.

It probably became corrupted as you downloaded it. Maybe a server hiccup. Try restarting the machine and running Software Update again.

does anyone know why my update to 10.5.8 was only around 175MB it wasn't even on the 200's MB
which in the apple website it's like around 275 MB

Build number is 9L30

weird...

Ooh, my first error message. Apparently it doesn't want to install on my MacBook. I can't remember why exactly though. I'll try again...

Hm, some of the security issues fixed in 10.5.8 are pretty serious.
