they replaced 2 logic board and it didnt work, so they gave me
a new macbook- but still the same problem.

smaell weird flicker.
it looks similar to a low refresh rate.

Same problem here, on my MBP17 mid2009... and GeniusBar doesn't want to admit there is a problem...

Has anyone else's (white) apple remote completely stopped working? I was hoping 10.6.2 would fix the remote issues brought on by SL, not completely disable it.

I assume 1, the remote sensor is enabled in system preferences, and 2 the battery hasn't drained on the remote..

So far I everything seems to be working smoothly for me. I hate to say it, but Safari does seem snappier. And even embedded Flash stuff seems more responsive.

Still working here. Possibly your battery just died by coincidence? Or maybe check your security settings and tell SL (again) that you want it to work with all remotes.

Have fun when your hard drives die then.

It doesn't matter how much data you have, it doesn't truely exist until you have more than one copy!

What a pitiful retort that was. As long as your hard drive isn't a factory lemon or isn't surge protected they don't just randomly die.

OK, (maybe a) stupid question time...

What is the difference between the normal update of OS X 10.6.2 and this "Combo" version (apart from the size)?

Combo rolls up everything that was patched in 10.6.1 also. So, that's what you would get if you have 10.6.0 installed.

How long is the battery supposed to last? My remote's only 4 months old. The security settings are fine.

Flash is still as poo as ever for me, my lap still melts when watching youtube video's as well, 75 degrees on the nuts is no fun!

MBP is stuck on a blue screen

With the spinning wheel, do I hold the button and hard reset or just let it think and think and think???? Its been at it for almost an hour

Basically less chance of bugs, as the Combo update does a "clean install" of all 10.6.x updates.

I've had mine for >3 years and it's still working, albeit low on battery. I don't use it very often though.

This same thing is happening to me. I have already tried to restart 2 times, still on blues screen with spinning wheel? WHAT NEXT?

I can tell you the growl mail does not work with 10.6.2 update!

Just checked with the Growl google group, the Mail 4.2 changed some API that made the growl mail unusable at this moment.

No comments. But hope the updated APIs are better though I don't knowledge specifically which one.

Actually the general quality of hard drives has been getting worse.

I also have Terabytes of data, and I wouldn't dream of not having it backed up. I have experienced data loss once, and that was once too many.

If 10.6.2 broke your audio...

What the blazes Apple?
10.6.2 decided I didn't need audio any more on my Late-08 MBP.

If 10.6.2 killed your audio go to System Prefs -> Sound -> Output and make sure "Internal Speakers" are selected. LOL Macs.

Fix one thing, break a bigger one. Nice.

Apple fixed the streaking issue in Top Hits of Safari, but now it blinks when you click a site in the Top Hits. Previously it was smooth operation. The second Beta version of Safari 4.0 worked the best!
