Because it was a blatant idiotic post. Denying Apple's faults only hurts the company and its product. Something can only improve if it comes into terms with its faults. If you truly cared for Apple you would be marching into 1 infinite loop with 100s of other people and start splurging your steaming spoonful.
Is this really how you think the world works?

Pass the Kool-Aid. It's gonna be at least another hour for file transfers tonight.

How about you pass specifics, what Adobe products do you have issues with? I'm running LR2 and other Adobe applications and they've worked on SL since day 1.

But why would we go with known tested compatibility, when we can go with your inane ramblings instead?

ok whats the point on giving this article a negative? Some people need to stop being so uptight about everything in their crappy lives.

Pah,

2008 Black Macbook - I've had some graphics issues in Plex since I upgraded to 10.6.0. The 10.6.1 patch didn't fix it - I figured fair enough - a non critical issue - they guys are busy getting out a new OS - give them a break etc.

Installed 10.6.2 update this morning - graphics issues are still present - grrr. This was the one big hope I had for this update - and it hasn't delivered anything to make things better for me unfortunately.

I bet you dont get these graphics issues if you go and by a shiney new 13" MBP

Is this really how you think the world works?

Doesn't make it any less true. The only way something can improve is to come into terms with its faults. A bug in a program, A UI inconsistency, a raging drug addiction, self esteem issues, a car engine that leaks oil.

I know 90% of the world doesn't realize this, but its still true. People even do it without noticing it.

Insisting on Time Capsule firmware update

Since I installed 10.6.2, my MacBook Pro has alerted me via pop-up screen every time my Time Machine starts backing up that my Time Capsule's firmware is not up to date (I'm running 7.3.2, current is 7.4.2) and I should update. Thing is, I don't want to update -- when both 7.4.1 and 7.4.2 came out, I updated to those versions and they ended up hosing my network. 7.3.2 is stable and everything works on it (unlike more current versions), so I'd like to keep it without being reminded of that fact every hour -- does anyone know of a way to disable those pop-ups?

No, you get your jollies off, on it. Queue amusing visual. You are simply trolling, try getting a life.

This is any better?

Because it's UNIX. Duh.

You want to go above silly parlor wit? Think up 10 good things, 10 bad things and 10 average things about Mac OSX 10.6. Think about how those 30 things can be improved then help Apple, help Apple hard.

I'm not sure if it's already been mentioned in this thread, but my late 2008 Macbook (5,1) now boots into 64 bit mode. It never used to. Can anyone else boot to 64 bit now? Has something been changed to allow this? It feels a lot snappier now :)

I'm an Adobe user

Just upgraded from CS3 to CS4 because I was told CS3 was unsupported under SL

Guess what - CS4 is just as bad .. particularly Illustrator, which crashes constantly

You had a year to get it right under SL - so no excuse will do

Your software is WAYYY overpriced and underperforms horribly.

****, Preview is better at manipulating images realtime than PhotoShop (which is a steaming pile of 1994, with bells and whistles squished into it)

NOW - I DON'T CARE ABOUT WHY - JUST FIX IT ADOBE !!

Take a look at the Airport Utility preferences. There's a setting for checking for updates, though I'm not sure why it would alert you every time (i.e. on hourly backups).

On a side note, I've tried 7.4.2 many times now, only to revert to 7.4.1 (and it'll stay there until 7.4.3 or later...). Otherwise, it seems to go "dumb" - where it functions properly as an access point, but forgets how to be a network drive.

Uhh...What did they actually tweak for the Safari/plugins? Safari and it's plugin (flash) gives the same problems it never did in Leopard so guess I'm (we're?) stuck still.

What are you doing in Illustrator? Projects of course will vary but I haven't really run into any problems with any of the CS4 applications. Maybe some minor stuff in Photoshop but other than that, nothing to really note.

Alls good here

Just updated my late 2006 17" MacBook Pro to 10.6.2 using the Combo Updater which I downloaded from Apple. No Problems noted so far. I will update the my two other MacBooks when I get home.

Zero issues. If someone says Snow Leopard = Vista I'm forced to say HE/SHE/IT is an idiot.

Honestly, I never had a problem with Vista. However, some people did. Same with Snow Leopard.

That guest account bug is pretty terrible though. No one could even expect that sort of thing =\

it didnt fix my flickering macbook unibody.
still small and annoying flicker when using battery power.
it is the last time i buy an apple product.
A 400$ laptop has a better screen then this macbook.

Bye, went to ebay to sell this ****.........

Isnt the ebay experience best enjoyed on a mac?:)

Got my imac 27" yesterday (9th) 500mb update and I thought, welcome back to ms! What happened to "It just works!???"
Also has anyone noticed that the @ key is in the wrong place on the gb keyboard?

Honestly, I never had a problem with Vista. However, some people did. Same with Snow Leopard.

Same, never had a problem with Vista. Certainly never encountered anything that annoyed me blatantly and consistently and never got fixed. Unlike with OS X where I still have the broken iTunes dashboard widget (since 10.4.0 = over 5 years) and the broken stack sorting (since july if not longer) to keep me not quite happy. So yes, I would disagree with anyone saying SL = Vista because I have more issues with SL.

I am planning to boot camp 7 on my Mac mini when official support comes through though, maybe I'll find some issues there :).

Meantime, maybe 10.6.3?
