I've just tried on my iPhone to print to an Epson SX515W which is wirelessly joined to my network with 10.6.5 10H568 (an older build) and it doesn't work.

I haven't tried plugging it into my computer and going from there yet as I'm to tired to try but if people do, I will give it a go

For all those who wanna use AirPrint, you must activate 'Print Sharing' in the Printer preference pane!

You May Have to Re-Install Printer for AirPrint to Work

I had to re-install my printers to make AirPrint work. I am running the iOS4.2 GM with the just released 10.6.5 update.

And damn my Mac Pro (mid 2008) is much snappier. Especially iPhoto and Aperture. Haven't really noticed anything else besides the fact that I definitely feel a speed difference.

Lucky you. What I've noticed so far is that my 27" iMac i5 boots slower than before and that Mail is no longer compatible with Growl.

By now, I really, really HATE updates from Apple -- they ALWAYS break something with a new software update.

UPDATE: Ok, after another system restart, the startup time is almost as it was before the update.

Suggestion 1: Just wait a day or two and an updated Growl may be out.

Suggestion 2: Don't install operating system updates on the first day if they make you so angry. Wait until add-ons like Growl are ready.

10.6.5 installation not possible

Hello,

I've tried to install 10.6.5, but after the successful installation the system still show 10.6.4 installed :/

I've tried both combo update and via software update.

:(

Hey guys, for those of us that DID use the bad combo updater, will running the 10.6.4 combo updater and then going to 10.6.5 fix everything? I'd hope so since the updater appears to have just been machine-specific, and not malicious. I have Time Machine if I need it, but I'd rather not have to go through that.

Fine here

I can print just fine with 10.6.5 (10H542), iOS 4.2, iTunes 10.1 through my iPad and iPhone 4 to a Epson printer connected to an Airport Express and shared by my Macbook. :)

yeah, that wasn't the actual combo update that's offered through software updates. it doesn't allow you to update to 10.6.5 in the software updates either, so your best bet is to wait until official 10.6.5 combo is out and hopefully that will fix the issue.

Enter whois 62.41.85.9 before you initiate the download process of this so called OS X 10.6.5 Combo update. Great fun I'm sure.

Please remove the link a.s.a.p.

Thank you.

Erm... where are you getting that address from? the other link pointed to swcdn.apple.com

Or is this another link altogether?

I've just updated to 10.6.5 tonight and am using iTunes 10.1 Beta which was installed before 10.6.5 and I can't print via AirPrint from either my iPad or iPhone (both on iOS 4.2GM). I've tried reinstalling my printer (a Canon MP560 Inkjet which is connected via WiFi and shared from my iMac which is connected by cable to my Time Capsule router.) and print sharing is definitely enabled on the iMac. I've also tried disabling the iMac's firewall but no joy so far.

Hopefully someone will be able to figure out what makes AirPrint either work or not work. I'm going to try reinstalling iTunes 10.1 Beta tomorrow night to see if that helps. Maybe 10.6.5 over-wrote something.

Good to know it is working for some people though. :)

AirPrint works!

Apple removed AirPrint support in the final copy. People running a beta 10.6.5 can still do it, though.

I just updated to 10.6.5 (10H574) with my iPad running iOS 4.2 beta 3.

I can confirm the Airprint works which means that the Airprint server resides in the 10.6.5 update.

Does anyone with iPad iOS 4.2 GM Airprint not working? I'm not going to update it until the actual release date.

THis doesn't look like a true apple link as this the a start of link to the apple downloads catalog page.

http://swscan.apple.com

notice the difference and the link above once gone all the way through doesn't even show the delta update showing up in software update which is normally the case.

The update is 517.3 MB on my Mac Pro (Early 2009, Quad)...

and is 680.1 MB on my MacBook Pro (Mid 2010, 15-inch)

All is well so far.

But that isn't the final release build (10H574). At least in my experience AirPrint via a Mac does not work w/ 10H574 build even w/ iOS 4.2 GM and iTunes 10.1b10.

Does anyone with iPad iOS 4.2 GM Airprint not working?

Best I can tell, it's not working for me. I haven't done anything crazy like tried to reinstall drivers though.
