I just tried a few. Worked fine. Are you sure the PDF you're looking at has text, and isn't just a picture?
Acrobat is searching just fine. The Search in Preview worked fine within the same document just before the update :(

I like dark mode but it is completely jarring to open Microsoft Office which isn't after navigating system apps in dark mode. Also the least successful app is Calendar. It's tough on the eyes in DM.

A very sad and depressing day to all of us who still using an older Mac from 2009, 2010, or 2011...
At least there are up-to-date operating systems that even the original Early 2006 Intel iMac can run just fine, without needing a 64-bit EFI, 64-bit processor, 2008 or newer CPU, Metal-capable graphics card, etc...

The difference between Night and Day..

(Not so reviving about Time Shift or Stacks on the desktop. But Night Shift on iOS is,, so what the hell right?

Acrobat does OCR, doesn't it? Weird though that previously working documents aren't now. I went and tried a good few more and they all seemed fine. If there's any you can share post them somewhere and we can at least rule in/out a local issue.

I am skipping this one for a while.

I downloaded this on one of my computers as a test. In fact, I downloaded it twice.

It won't even install, either time.

The installation screen gets to the "macOS Mojave will install on Macintish HD" and then it just locks up. I cannot even force quit anything. Only pulling the plug works.

This has happened on two downloads of the installer.

Given the crapfest that is High Sierra, I am going to sit this out out for a while.

I miss Apple. They were a better company when they were worth half of what they are now.

5.6.3 does not work in Mojave, and yes, 5.7 will not include web serving.
As much as I love Apple this is the stupidest decision they've made since removing the headphone jack from iPhones. Our entire dev team uses Server so we don't have to configure Apache vhosts by hand. Why does Apple insist on removing features for the hell of it? It makes no sense.

Mojave Safari is noticeably faster now it's using metal 2 acceleration.

Loving this release so far - best for a long time.

And..

How about a dark theme, Macrumors?

I haven't read through all the comments, but I have to say that I am disappointed by the dark mode.

Yes, I love the look. Love it. But the obvious omission of not including the option to enable dark mode automatically based on time of day is ridiculous. At the very least they could have added a shortcut to enable or disable dark mode in the side bar, right next to the nightshift and do not disturb buttons. That would make it easy to change the mode quickly.

I am willing to bet the next OS will have this option. It just seems so obvious to me? Anyone else?

Perhaps try turning off 'Use font smoothing when available' (in system preferences / general) in Mojave... seems to help. I think Mojave looses antialiasing support (at some level) and this is what is causing the issue.
They removed subpixel antialiasing. It's horrible.

iMac Pro took ~25 minutes to update from High Sierra but here it is.
Hope for fixes for things like USB devices waking iMac from sleep and few others...

Nice to have Home app and "Hey Siri" option on iMac.

Well, just update from the macOS app store. . . and why I have now:

I still have a beta. Hmmmmm. . ., that's odd methinks!

Wonder if I have 10.14.1 Beta 1 ??
