iTunes won't open after updating, just crashes.

No updates showing in new App Store even though before update install 3~ were showing.

Two finger tap on a link for context menu beachballs Safari every time without fail for 5-10 seconds.

Random beachballs everywhere else.

I've never complained about a macOS release since first owning one in 2012 but this one isn't giving me great first impressions in all honesty.

YIKES!! Hope you can get this resolved

Though I completely understand the need to cut off support at some point, it just seems like a waste of perfectly usable hardware.

It doesn't "seem like", it is a waste of perfectly usable hardware. My home-built Windows PC I'm typing this on now is from 2009. I built it with Windows XP x64, Upgraded to the Windows 8, then 8.1 and I'm choosing to stay here (supported through 2021). But I could be running the current Windows 10 if I wanted. That's two decades of operating system release support (and still counting).

At this rate, I will never be in a position of "I want to keep this computer hardware but it's too old to run the current operating system". It's a first generation Core i7. I haven't even changed over to SSD yet. Many people today would already say it's not worth anything because of its age, and I have been wanting to build a newer machine myself. By the time the Win 8.1 support is over I'll definitely be at that point.

But I guess this is how Apple shows how environmentally conscious they are.

Mac mini - OS X SERVER

APFS on hard drives still kernel panics and the reoccurring memory leak in the icon server (which has been fixed in HS) is still present. So - beside dark mode - no progression in terms of reliability. Apple 2018 is not worth the penny.

Upgraded a few hours ago. All my applications work and the window server is nice and smooth with lots of windows open across multiple displays. Have to say I'm disappointed in Microsoft for not implementing dark mode in Office, even on the Insider fast ring. So much for the benefits of continuous delivery.

Mac mini - OS X SERVER
on the developer site there is a beta version of macOS server for Mojave. you would think they would have released together
[doublepost=1537818778][/doublepost]
if your trying to update from dev beta 11/ public beta 10 build 1A839 then go to App Store search Mojave download full installer then install this will update build 1A839 to build 1A841. software update won't find it from the beta.

Not impressed with the iOSification of the App Store app, big text, lots of empty space and minimal content in view :(
Otherwise seems ok

Prepping my 2015 MB to sell since I have 2017 MB on the way. I'll forgo installing Mojave on my 2015 and wait to install it once I get my 2017 delivered tomorrow.

Definitely looking forward to dark mode!

Not touching this until .4 or .5. Not gonna repeat the same mistake as when I went from a perfectly working 10.12.6 to a flawed 10.13.0, which didn't fix GPU issues properly until .4.

It would seem that the ancient Widgets, which still worked under High Sierra, and which used to appear when pressing F12 no longer work under Mojave.

Wow this is slow o_O 3 hours in and now I'm getting between 6 and 18 hours remaining :D And it's not my connection, browsing works just fine.
