Can you please let us know what is the Music app exact version with this release? I’m wondering if it’s the same as in the RC.
Thank you. It’s the same.View attachment 1949736
To note, for M1 Mac, the VisualizerService-x86 is still present
When did TM break? I was still backing up successfully as of 12.1 and more recently 12.2 RC.Anyone know if this update fixes the Time Machine issues?
Time Machine wouldn't finish the first backup. I have two Macs and one of them had the issue. I say had, because 12.2 solved it for me.When did TM break? I was still backing up successfully as of 12.1 and more recently 12.2 RC.
I should verify my backups...
Probably in the minority her, but I still kinda wish Apple would take a year off between major OS releases. Spend the two years rewriting everything (or at least as much as possible) to be native Swift & SwiftUI code. Streamline as much as possible, and get all the OSes (macOS, iOS, iPadOS, etc.) as standardized as possible. That way, in later versions, they can add a lot new features more easily and standardized. And yes, I didn’t expect them to rewrite the whole app to be native within a month but rather to start the process and do it incrementally. We will know soon…
Safari 15.4 is still in beta, so probably the next minor update.Does this update include the 120hz safari scrolling?
yes, I'm getting very slow speeds on my 7,1 Mac ProIs download speed for others OK?
There isn't any issues with MagSafe. The only issue was in 12.0.1 i think where when it's powered off and the lid closed. The MagSafe will be stuck in a cycle. But yeah it's fixed and there is no more MagSafe bug AFAIK. Are you sure it's not your MagSafe cable or the laptop since i think it could be hw issueWill it fix the MagSafe issue I have on my 14" I wonder... I have the amber flashing light thing, and the charger randomly turning off and on. Pretty frustrating!
15.3 showed up for me.In case it's not clear, Big Sur 11.6.3 alone does not fix the Safari vulnerability. I'm guessing we'll have to wait for Safari 15.3 to show up in Software Update for those on Big Sur.
macOS and iOS are already very "standardized." I'm for fixing all the bugs though.Probably in the minority her, but I still kinda wish Apple would take a year off between major OS releases. It seems that, more or less, this is what they have done with iOS 15. There were no major new user-facing features, but under-the-good many binaries have been rewritten to use Swift and SwiftUI adoption is increasing.Probably in the minority her, but I still kinda wish Apple would take a year off between major OS releases. To be honest, i see no difference at all! Like none ...No the new Music app is there.
It’s just that all the changes are in the way the app was built, not the user interface.
So the most you’ll notice is that it might be a little bit more snappy here and there, but in terms of the regular user experience, no differences
