What version of Safari comes with the install?Installed here as well. 2019 MBP. Seems to be running fine so far.

mine did that and then after a long time the installer suddenly appeared. but it feels like a fresh install, it's a bit odd...This is as far as I've gotten & now I'm in stuck in the land of not knowing what on earth is happening - whether it's crashed or if it's just taking a long time. Doesn't sound right, or at least not universal - I have an ostensibly 1Gbps connection, but over Wifi link that blazing speed, never materializes, on speed tests, fastest I ever see is maybe 385mbps. That download screenshot I posted a little while ago that showed 39 min to go after 894MB downloaded completed in under 18 minutes. D/L'd on 2020 M1 Mac Mini. View attachment 1878086
If that’s true, I’m switching to Linux.Just released, it says:
Windows 11
When you download (and before doing the installation) there will be a “Install macOS Monterey” app in your Applications folder. After installation it removes that file, so you need to put a copy elsewhere to save it.I have looked during the last couple MacOS upgrades, but I can't find where the download is saved on my Mac. I would like to know where the file is saved, so I don't have to download it multiple times. Can anyone enlighten me?
15.1What version of Safari comes with the install?
I am going to try to update to 11.6.1 first.Just got that, re-downloading 12GB again... fun
Reset PRAM and try again. I've noticed that it's alway a good idea to Reset the PRAM before installing a version update, both major or minor.Installation failed ?
I downloaded the update. It takes about one hour to prepare the installation and you can keep using the computer in the meantime. After this whole hour, I pressed "Install", it said it would quit all apps (sure, do as you like), but then I'm back on my startup screen and have to start again the installation.
Hope it works the second time.
I believe it’s the same build. If you unenroll your Mac from the beta program, the general release should show up for you.Apparently is the same build as RC2. It’s saying I already have the latest version.
I would leave it until tomorrow...After installing 11.6.1, it's now installing 'Device Support Update'.
Monteray downloaded. installing. MB ProI have Mac Air M1 and its showing me 11.6.1
I went into the Start-up utility and set the start-up disk (which was already set) and the problem persists. Any ideas?Ok, this is nerv-wrecking. I thought I had set the start-up disk since it boots from my HD
