Grabbed it from the App Store (already running RC2), but it didn't show for me when I searched for MacOS. I had to type in 'macOS Monterey' and there it was. Otherwise searching just 'macOS' kept bringing up the Big Sur installer.

En Applesfera decis que sos de Rosario y acá de Bs.As ¿?
Si me confunde jajaja, porque estaba viendo la conversión a hs y me quede con "BsAs"

Te salto?

P/d: soy de Rosario.

I'll be curious to see those who have just 8 GB with an M1, if they have a popup that asks to free up memory (and close apps) from time to time. I believe it's a memory leak somewhere, because some apps like Safari, and Office take up to 40 GB of memory from time to time.

I am ready. My wallet is ready. But what should I get? I'm one of those guys that needs a 27' running an M1 Max. I wanted to buy the imac pro, but I didn't do it, as it was discontinued.
Wait. You NEED a 27" iMac with the M1Max... but you currently have a 7 year old iMac? This is a new definition of 'need'.

Now, if you're saying you want that new large M1 iMac because you 'want' it to future proof - I get that.

Wish Mac Rumors didn't announce it until it was actually pushed out and really available. They just want to be "first" so they post it right at 12 when it's supposed to be out instead of waiting for it to really come out.
Wait for the confirmed rollout announcement.

I'm downloading it right now. Some weird stuff going on. My 4k monitor was flickering like crazy. A package didn't open correctly and I'm now on my second download because the first one didn't finish due to the flickering monitor.

C'mon Craig. Y'all have been at it for too long to have these kind of hiccups.

This install is on my M1 Mac mini.

that is correct. This imac served 8 years for me. I got it CTOd and maxed out. Planning to do the same for the future one.

Installation failed ?

I downloaded the update. It takes about one hour to prepare the installation and you can keep using the computer in the meantime. After this whole hour, I pressed "Install", it said it would quit all apps (sure, do as you like), but then I'm back on my startup screen and have to start again the installation.

Hope it works the second time.

Thank you for beta testing. Let me know when all the bugs are worked out so I might consider it myself in a few months.
