Is anyone having any trouble with CS6? That's all I need to know!

EDIT: look at all those great posts above me. Thanks guys!
I just opened an old file, whilst it works, the timeline controls in Flash are not at all smooth. If you depend on your machine to make a living I'd advise caution. I had a feeling this may happen, so I didn't update my main machine.

Although I may still choose to update it in a day or two as I can always boot in to Windows to do anything Flash related.

How do you pause the download ?

Click on the purchases tab in the App Store app and next to the Sierra download is a pause button you can use.

is there an update or alternative to Diskmaker X? like to make an install disk for my machines

In this article on Ars they recommended MacDaddy install disk creator. I have not used it myself, but the author of that article said they preferred this over other apps they tried.

According to adobe, photoshop and indesign CS6 support sierra. Dreamweaver, illustrator and acrobat do not. Any reports of experience either corroborating this or not would be appreciated.

Oh :( Well, I'm too poor to own new fancy stuff such as CS6 ... but Dreamweaver CS5.5 appears to be happy enough, toying with some miniscule web updates for a few minutes. Having wrought havoc on my company logotype in Illustrator CS5.1, I'm also quite happy (except artistically) with the result. I have Acrobat X so can't say for CS6.
Illustrator CS5.1 started developing the bad habit of crashing when quitting back in Yosemite (I believe), and it still does in Sierra, but that's more of a cosmetic issue.

Download took about 12 minutes. Install took about 25 minutes. mid-2012 MBP working smooth.

I'm out. Still using and enjoying my early 2008 24" 3.04GHz iMac running OS X El Capitan (10.11).

I got on a 1" thick iMac maxed out w/ a quad core i7 & 16GB Ram and still running Snow Leopard. That thing was a refreshing joy to sit in front of. Fast, smooth, good looking, no iOS identity crisis, just a rock solid machine that did what it did in a most excellent way.

I want it on my desk.
