Anyone upgrading from Yosemite to Sierra? Never installed El Capitan because of all the posts about it being glacially slow.
Just upgraded and got back 70GB of space. This has to be the best one, yet. Only got 30GB back with the last upgrade. This is awesome!
Sadly, Apple don't use the "It just works" slogan anymore. Even they seem to have realised that their products aren't as good as they used to be.(mocking critics) So, like, omg. Wut evar happen'd to "Macs just work!" like omg, the travesty of this all! It's inexcusable! I'm like, triggered or stuff. Steve Jobs would never!
eGPU. It just works. On Windows PC.Sadly, Apple don't use the "It just works" slogan anymore. Even they seem to have realised that their products aren't as good as they used to be.
Hmm, don't know if anybody else has posted about this, but why is System Preferences icon layout such a mess - looks like row 2 doesn't have enough room for Startup Disk so its wrapped to a new line...?

I just opened an old file, whilst it works, the timeline controls in Flash are not at all smooth. If you depend on your machine to make a living I'd advise caution. I had a feeling this may happen, so I didn't update my main machine.
Although I may still choose to update it in a day or two as I can always boot in to Windows to do anything Flash related.
Well have installed Sierra from 10.10.5 today. And it seems to be working just fine.....a lot faster than 10.10.5. iMac 27" late 2012 i7 32 Gig RAM.Same here, watching with interest.
Delete the installer from /Applicationsit is not showing in updates tab, and it's seen already "downloaded" in the app store...
Strange! On my MacBook (12") I get version 16A312a. This is different from the version on my MacBook Pro which is 16A323. Both are in beta program. What's going on? Anyone have a clue?16A323 then.
Cheers.
I care more about general system UIIt depends what you define as useful.
For example, World of Warcraft runs on Metal now. The performance improvements on that compared to OpenGL are really impressive.
What? That guy who stuck with an OS they liked and that fit their needs despite its limitations?lol. you're that guy.
Apple recommend apple's own software called Terminal to do it: https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...ler-for-sierra-gm-and-public-release.1992501/

I'm excited to see what this new file system will do.
Just install the older Canon drivers for your printer just make sure there going The same directoriesA major hold for me on updating is it working with my Canon Printer/Scanner. It is a very new model, but I just checked, & the Driver package does not include support for Sierra.
This is not a knock at either Canon or Apple - things take time![]()
i've already deleted it. nothing changes...Delete the installer from /Applications
