Sheesh folks, get a grip. ENOUGH with the emoji bitching. Its been explained way too many times that this 1) isn't how standards work -apple isn't creating these, just adding them as approved, and 2) certainly do NOT have folks pulled off systems development teams to do this.

Out of 13 comments so far.. EIGHT (?!) have been about whatever deal you have with emojis pushing your buttons or something. take a break please. please. seriously. not funny anymore.

I'm guessing most of us would much rather read actual feedback and comments about the system changes... I'm especially interested in photos, music & the changes in the printing system.

Music (doesn't seem to have much in terms of changes here, still have an issue with importing mp3s to a new playlist and having them disappear until i do it a 2nd time, then its fine)

Photos - would love a way to search for unnamed faces, but found a nice script that helps with that finally. Recognition seems better all the time though of faces and objects. I did notice for the first time that when browsing the photos you get a little 'i' for 'info', normally the photo meta details, place and so on. and if the app finds something of interest in the photo it adds a pulsing star to the icon. for me, a cat picture when i clicked that, not only did it pull up info about cats, but correctly identfied the breed of my cat!
You are asking people TOO MUCH, their brains already do an overexhausting effort to try to put a few words together to b!tch about emojis.

Just done is not good enough for a Prosumer company... although increasingly with all sorts of companies... just done, is good enough.

Games, Cars, Laptops.... Everything.

You can always send out an update post consumer release. That wasn't really possible not that long ago... and would result in expensive recalls and defective products... but now it's the normal, sadly.

....We need the product released next month... think of the quarterly. But it's not finished, it's not ready. Just get it out... we can update it/patch it later...

I don't care about the customer, I care about my KPI's my KPI's that spreadsheet needs to be green... My KPI's. The spreadsheets need to be good, not the product.

Calendar asks for location permissions every time it opens after being quit when typing in an address for a new event. Has been doing that since the original release.

My27" iMac 5K with Ventura was absolutely will not start with Safari, Opera and Firefox just the beach ball now going through the process to erase and reload the computer what a hassle absolutely bricked all the different browsers.

Anyone else get prompted to log in to “Set up iCloud‘ after the last reboot in the update?
I was prompted to log into iCloud, but only on one of my Macs; and this also happened to my wife, also only on one of her Macs. We were also both informed by macOS that our FileVault recovery keys were being rotated, but only on the Macs that prompted us to log into iCloud again.

The only theory I can come up with is that both of the Macs that prompted us to login to iCloud and had their FileVault keys rotated were originally set up on macOS 14 (Sonoma), whereas the others were upgraded to macOS 14 from macOS 13.

Had the same happen to me on my M3 Max 16". FileVault Key to AppleID sync not activated. So it can't be only macOS 14 Sonoma the trigger

🍄‍🟫 <-- shiitake (brown mushroom)

are you guys seeing it?
Thank you for spelling it correctly.

I'm not seeing it but I'm currently on Windows 11 and they won't update it until they have more crappy AI to force on us. I'll switch to 14.4 on my MacBook Air soon. I hope it's buttery smooth now.
