Oh no... This update complete broke automatic light / dark mode switching for me, great... I have a custom Night Shift schedule set up. This means that light / dark mode should follow this schedule. This worked flawlessly for years. This update complete broke this... I updated at 9 pm. Night Shift kicks in at 11 pm. Guess what I was greeted with after the update at 9 pm? Dark mode 😫 Anyone else also having this issue?

Why do I need emojis in Mac? I would rather have functions like Al dente, iStat etc natively in MacOs than a bunch of emojis. I hardly even use emojis in my iPhone!.
If Apple did all those things and crushed third parties from having opportunities for add-ons, they'd be creating separate application companies like Claris again.

The emoji are just being added with any other Unicode changes. Some people like them, other people can ignore them.

That remains to be seen : Mac Pro users are still experiencing a major bug.
Exactly, Apple appears to have still not addressed the long-standing Sonoma disk mounting bug:

Apple is so obsessed with Emojis LOL Anyway here is hoping for a better Magic Keyboard 2 experience and less stutter, lag and sudden jump!
New emojis are ratified by the Unicode Consortium. I wouldn't call that being obsessed. They are a simple and obvious thing for reporters to write about, though.

I was about to post the same until I realised that after upgrading to 14.4 from 14.3.1, my Touch ID no longer works when my external monitor is plugged into the HDMI port. 🤬

In the macadmins Slack this just popped up with someone too.

Ugh.. and here I was just about to ask if it is safe to jump to this from Monterey.

I guess I'll play it safe and jump to 12.7.4 until this is fixed, because I'm not wanting to lose a monitor to keep touchID running, or vice versa.

BL.

Is the 14.4 full installer available as of right now?
Yes 12.12 GB

All of these updates are really slow today. They have all be Stuck in the preparing phase and Sanoma is just taking forever. Probably the worst update day Apple has had in a long while.

Hey - who cares if their RAID drives mount?
We have new Emojis!
