Does full screen mode still turn off the second monitor?

That seems like such an odd behavior.

Plus, Launchpad is something I will probably never use because I use Quicksilver. Just seems like another way to "fix" something that's not broken.

To all pundits who mocked when I said there would be NO developer seed for 10.7.1:

WHO IS YOUR DADDY NOW? HOW DOES YOUR CROW TASTE?

I EXPECT AN APOLOGY FROM EVERY ONE OF YOU, THANKS!

You dont deserve an apology, you were only guessing lol yet you are pretending like you had some insider information :p when we asked u for proof you didnt say anything, your guess ended up being true which is great of course but no, you do not deserve anything

Thank goodness for the WIFI update I have about 12 Lion machines that I was about the throw out the window because of **** connectivity issues which defy logic. I was about to wipe them and go back to SL tomorrow

Hope this works:D

Something to be aware of:

I started having connectivity issues about 3 weeks before I updated to Lion. So I can't blame Lion to much though it did make things worst. In any event I zeroed out a .plist related to networking to correct the problem.

Unfortunately I'm out and about with my iPhone so I can't tell you off the top of my head what I did. However a little googling will turn up suggestions. It appears as though the SL networking code can't handle things to well if you end up using a lot of hot spots. Lion then has even more trouble with the confused nature of the network settings.

This does bring up an interesting question. Is this a clean install of Lion or is it an update to a SL installation? I ask because the one thing I don't like about Lion is that it is probably the worst example of an OS update that Apple has done in some time. That is every update prior to Lion has been rather smooth for me.

I believe that Leo LaPorte takes contrarian positions on certain topics in order to promote conflict, thus revenue.

I can see how you would come to that conclusion.

I'm more of the same mind as MartiNZ when it comes to Leo being more free flow (mercurial?) on his views. He certainly has had a pretty consistent track record with ending up in the doghouse when it comes to Apple (and, thus, not invited to product announcements).

The Tech News Today staff has a good mix and find the main host, Tom Merritt, to be pretty balanced and pragmatic on issues. He was always my favorite host on CNET back when I used to watch it.

Lion almost flawless on my laptop.

im running at 60 degrees celsius with just one tab in safari open. fans spinning at 2400 rpm. in snow leopard they would spin at 2000 rpm and the cpu would be 45 celsius. i was hoping that would be fixed in this. doesn't bother me as much unless it gets close to 80.

Connect it to a 27" LED Cinema Display. Whiiiiirrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....

Haha, I just rolled my laptop back to Snow Leopard after frustration with some of these problems! However there are still other issues that aren't addressed.

I think all of our computers will be staying on Snow Leopard for the foreseeable future.

Personally staying with SL until 10.7.3 is released. Nothing about Lion interests me at the moment. :p

Still having the WiFi issue, anyone else?

I was. As I told another forum member I booted up the Recovery Drive. I ran repair permissions and first aid. That fixed it, but I am still having slight issues. Lag, if you will. If I view a forum page for example for a few minutes and then go forward or backward there is a good 5 second lag before it goes.

Wi-Fi is obviously a work in progress. I wouldn't be surprised if renaming it "Wi-Fi" screwed things up. I know how screwed up my HD got when I accidentally typed in a "-" when renaming it.

PS: Just experienced a lag while submitting this post of two minutes. Annnnnooooying.

It'd be nice if this completely fixed the audio issue. Only difference is more stability, but 5.1 through optical audio is still a no-go through VLC or MPlayerX.

People should be aware of the fact that going from developer 10.7.2 to 10.7.1 doesn't work, at least not for my MacBook Pro 17" 2011 model, nor my MacBook Air 13" 2011 model.

I ran the reversioner, which normally should resolve in me being able to update from 10.7.0 into 10.7.1 without any problems (have never had trouble with doing this with Snow Leopard 10.6.x releases for instance) but with 10.7.1 it just allows me to get the update from Apple Software Update, but upon next boot things take forever and upon login I'm not able to move the cursor or write in the password, not even external mice and keyboard works.

Another funny note is by running the reversioner the OS X Lion 10.7.1 for MacBook Air 2011 models claims that I'm not running on compatible hardware when trying to update my MacBook Air 13" 2011 model... So I actually get the wrong 10.7.1 through Software Update instead, making the system not boot at all afterwards.

Time to make some TimeMachine restores I guess..

Hmmm, after reading all the comments, and seeing how 10.7.2 isn't really bug fix update, I think I'll be waiting for at least 10.7.3 before thinking about upgrading to Lion. :(

Am I the only one doesn't see album art cover in finder? Well I can see my old music with art cover, but the new music that I just added album art doesn't display the album art in finder. ://

Works fine! I think now is time for mass rollout of Lion to Enterprise users. 10.7.0 was fine also.

I also don't see album art in finder but somewhere in the past my snow leopard installation stopped showing album art too, maybe after the iTunes update?

Use the 10.7.2 reversioner, restart, scan for updates.

Do NOT do this; your system will end up broken. The reversioners don't actually backdate files, just change the versions back so that the next developer build will install.

New features are not bugs, except many of us

Does it address the issue of how they screwed up Address Book functionality?

This like the lack of up & down arrows on the scroll bars are new features so thus if we do not like these types of new features we need to stay with Mac OS 10.6 or before. That is unless we have a new Mac that requires Lion or we have a program that requires Lion.

Time will tell how many of these unwanted features are bugs. I hope that some here will have some of their dislikes be bugs so that they can be fixed.

Would any of the MBA (2011 summer) users say whether they are having problems with wifi connectivity. I am planning to buy a MBA in a few weeks, but I don't want to buy a machine that can't connect to wifi routers!

So I'd be really grateful if someone said wifi is working or not now.
