Umm its HP Product... HP needs to update Drivers for Yosemite...

no drivers are needed for airprint HP printers.

jet - in Scandal's post where did he say "AirPrint" ? he might have an "older" laserjet 1010 that doesn't have "AirPrint" ...

I got 2040 laser printer that doesn't have "AirPrint" and works fine thru usb via Yosemite and no driver issues ... I wouldn't blame it on per se but the Mfr of the printer... its called Driver support... Apple updates their collection of 3rd party drivers ... /rant

Spotlight Suggestions still won't work if primary language and region does not match up (i.e. for Primary lang: English, Region: Germany it cannot be turned on. If you set Primary language to German it works fine). The same problem persists on iOS as well.

You won't see PB 4 until after it has been downloaded and installed. Then it should show.

Edited to add: Earlier, I did an update on iPhone 5 and iPad Air with 8.1 And for some reason, I couldn't get AirDrop going no matter what I tried settings wise, as well as install again and then restore from backup. Did a clean install (set up as new) and everything is as it should be now. Just wanted to share that in case some have the same or similar problem.

And they revealed the release date for OS X Yosemite:

Tuesday, 14th of October 2014.



Have a look at the calendar and the day (Tuesday) in the menu bar.

Which also reveals the date of the iPad/Mac keynote! Cause they will most likely release it at a keynote on the same day like they did with Mavericks. And Apple events are usually held on Tuesdays!

I'll most likely do a clean install on all my machines tonight or sometime this week.

Text message forwarding is back.
When you enable it on your Mac, it gives you a code to enter on your iPhone to Allow forwarding.

My Mac needs a clean install, one where I don't do a merge of anything, but re-install apps from scratch, but I'm going to wait, considering last year and the fact that Apple is working out more functionality between iOS & OS X, I'm betting there will be one more GM, and, probably iOS 8.1 at the same time or within days of when Yosemite is up. (Timing will be w/new products coming soon, (iPad, retina iMac?).)

spotlight web searches not working

Hi guys,
any idea why spotlight does not return web searches nor movies nor maps? In system prefs -> spotlight bing web searches are enabled. It works on my iPhone 4S with iOS 8.0.2.

In Purchased items I am still only seeing Public beta 3 at the moment, not Beta 4.

It won't show up yet. If you want it, you have to download it from the Update tab App Store

late 2013 mbp did all the setup just does not work.
handoff works with my iPhone to iPhone though.

Yup, that's what you should be seeing ... only the app Handoff features (that require Bluetooth LE) are unsupported ...

Damn that worked. Turned it off then repair permissions and it reported it right...
