i’m all for features that shrink the size of updates so they can get pushed out quicker and don’t require so much maintenance but…
The Ventura update is over 300 MB on my M2 Air.
Pretty sure I’ve had X.X.1 updates that were smaller.
Maybe it’s a lot of fixes, but if I’m not mistaken, the rapid security response beta tests were all under 20 MB.
On the good side, it literally only made my computer unusable for about 20 seconds while it did a standard system reboot, which is about a 10 minute improvement over a regular update.

This is large update! Almost no different than a regular one.

It's telling me I need 3.61GB to install it on my work phone... which says it has 6GB of free space. Riiiiiight 👀

Might give Apple a couple of days to squash the bugs before I try an install one my private phone or iPad.

Automatically install security updates? What could go wrong? Until ai figures out how to hack it and install itself in your device.
