web sites I completely avoid. I suppose you could turn blocking off, but why? You like being mined for targeted ads? Now if they offered to pay me, I might consider allowing them to. Opening bid $10,000/month. No takers? Then keep the heck off my computer and stop spying on me!

Have you tried changing Safari->Develop->User Agent?

When Apple has updated Safari within the core OS update, they've often separately released it for older OS' simultaneously. I hear you on some users staying behind Big Sur, just not sure why they went through the hassle to release it separately now vs. waiting a month for Big Sur.

They have had a separate fork of Safari 14, for Catalina/Mojave, in beta all summer. I was among the testers. I guess it’s just ready (seemed so to me.) I’m sure the BS version will be in the unified installer as you say.

Oh, god. I miss Top Sites.
If you're using Safari as part of any workflow, but especially a Google suite based one, you might want to turn this back off. It's under Preferences > Tabs > "Show website icons in tabs".

When on, the tabs bar looks like this and won't change regardless of the width of the Safari windowView attachment 954219:

So we are left with Either having Fav Icon and stupid small icons.

Or Sane Tabs Design with Fav Icons?

Anyway to downgrade back to Safari 12.... this sucks....

I miss Top Sites already, and hate the fact that I can't rearrange or add frequently visited sites to the list (I can drag them out, but can't put them in order I want)

And worst of all, if you shrink it as Icons, the number of Site is still the same.

They also waste a lot of space from both side. Basically this whole design is trying to bring Safari on Mac towards iOS.

I was thinking this (dumb down Mac Safari so its a just a single code base on the iOS version and costs less to update) but didn't want to say it. Was really hoping they were going to turn this (top sites) back on before release. This is really a bummer.

Staying with 12 in the mean time, ugh I'm really going to hate this...loosing top sites. Vivaldi keeps tugging on me (has top sites and they're individually refreshable - rt click).

Didn’t expect that lazy-loading would still be considered an “experimental” feature to be set under the Develop menu; thought it was to be shipped as default, as on Chrome and Firefox.

Ever since upgrading a few hours ago, my laptop will only stay on the discrete graphics while having Safari open, which wasn't the case earlier today. Any thoughts anyone?
