I wonder if this will fix my AirPods 2 not playing balanced out of both earbuds. (Anyone else have that issue?)

I had this issue! It'll oscillate up and down in volume and become unbearable, to the point where I remove the AirPods, but them back in the case, wait for a few mins, and try again.

Personally I hope this fixes the Podcast app deleting podcasts when I play them for only a minute or so on my phone.

Same issue - I finally realized it shows up in the "Recently Played" even though I haven't completely played the episode. Very annoying, especially when you see them missing from Listen Now on the Apple Watch when going out for a walk.

Aside from bricking, does this update fix the bug where when Theatre Mode is enabled, tapping the display or pressing the Digital Crown to awaken the display, causes a delayed response or needs multiple taps/clicks to awaken? (Series 4)

I just want my series 4 to not take multiple taps and pushes just to get the time in theater mode.
Just posted about this. Hopefully someone without a bricked Watch responds!

Do you think it'll slow it down?

This is my concern. My S2 is so slow from updating that I don’t think I’ll bother.

People can deny the whole “planned obsolescence” thing all they like but it’s definitely a thing, even if it’s “obsolescence by ignorance.” My S2 has ground to a halt throughout the updates and now Siri is basically unusable. Even my S3 is starting to get twitchy.

With a little luck this improves the screen response on my Series 4.

With OS 5, a small touch and the screen would show ... now ... I have to really tap it hard for any hope of showing anything. Same with the knob turn.

Updated HomePod yesterday with no problem ✔
Updated Series 5 to 6.1 with no problems ✔

As great as that is, everyone else who has not updated yet should wait. Let someone else facecheck this update for the day until we know for sure. You'd like to think Apple double checked this one after the HomePod debacle, but truth is:

would you rather update immediately and potentially lose out on your watch for a week while it ships there and back, or just update tonight after we find out that it's good to go?

Taking the plunge on an S2 and 7+. Anyone else stuck @ 3+ hours for the update?

Edit: Just jumped to 11 hours.

Edit: Took about 2 hours total, but watch is not bricked and seems to be running just as smooth (perhaps a little more) than ever.

Re: AirPods - for mine, if I had paused them and I resume them, audio would only becoming from one side, the other side would be very low. Like 100% volume vs 10%. Adjusting the volume instantly fixed the issue. For me, it happens much more with my Apple Watch S4. I actually even used my AppleCare+ to swap out my airpods (Gen 2) but the problem remains. At this point I am wondering if it could be my Watch. I have been waiting for all the betas to release final versions and now that they have, I am going to see how things are. If the problem is still there, I'm going back to Apple.

Re: Podcasts deleting from Watch: I actually had the same issue with Podcasts (On Apple Watch) as well. Got so bad I stopped using the Podcast app and went to Overcast. I hate how Apple give you no control on transferring Podcasts to the watch. The auto syncing is unreliable to say the least. To say it transfers when it wants is an understatement.

Went fine for me, from what I can tell. This is on an S5.

It did take a while to download, but that's always a server side thing, I assume.

Updating my Series 3 now. 32 minutes remaining with the download (started about a half-hour ago), and who knows how long it will take to actually install. Fingers crossed that I don't end up with a bricklet.

I hope they’ve fixed a bug on the series 3 where it sometimes takes a few seconds to respond to a tap on the screen or button press to wake it up.
To tell the time I need instant access.

This bug was fixed in the 6.1 betas. It's the main reason that I updated to the 6.1 betas. I assume the fix has been carried into the 6.1 release.

I just updated my S4 to the release from last week's beta.

so I'm curious would any version of watchOS 5 work with iOS 13?

My series4 is still on 5.0.1 paired with 12.0.1 XR
