Quick updates to address the issues.

Updates that support iPhones that are up to 5 years old.

I'm laughing at Android fanboys talking smack at anything Apple does that appears to be a mishap.

I mean, can you imagine buying a Note 9 in 2018 for $1200 and it comes with last years Android OS and won't have the latest one for 3-6 months?

My ipad 12.9 always had the .?123 button. Didn’t realize it was moved. I see the iphone se has number key first then emoji on the left. It is opposite on my ipad.

Ha! Ha! Just noticed that adding the emoji keyboard removes the shift keys!

Apple, you are some really funny frackers.

EDIT: Okay, I see now. They disappear when I’m in the numberic keys, so why they have the shift-! and shift-? there, I don’t know.

Yep, just another 2018 created troll account. These are getting way way way too common here. Not sure what it is about Apple products that get people to sign up for accounts on Macrumors and complain about Apple. But it is way beyond old.

If you are within your 14 day return window, return it to Apple and get your money back. If you didn't return it during the 14 day period, that is your fault.
 
Curious, but I just updated my Max and the modem firmware on mine shows 1.00.08 but I also updated spouses iPhone X and it shows modem firmware 2.00.01.
Is this normal?

Different hardware, different firmware, different version numbers. Why would something be wrong?
 
Wow. Still no fix for the errant iMessage TEXT MERGING that is wrecking all kinds of havoc?!!! Sheesh.

I was very disappointed that there was no carrier update for Verizon phones. I have the iPhone 8, and vere since installing iOS 12, I have been falling back to WiFi calling even when I have full signal.

I'm at 33.1 - are you at the same version?
 
Well it does improve my relatively minor WIFI issue with 2.4 vs 5 ghz. In past with other phones I still typically drop to 2.4 when arriving back at house from somewhere else, that still is same even with this update. And as before eventually my Xs (like all phones before) drops back to 2.4 band inside as well even with this update. Given I have always had this issue nothing to blame on 12.x or Xs in my experience.

The largest improvement is I can now again use the 5ghz outside of house in yard. - signal is still pretty weak but it does not fail now with this upgrade. Before with Xs and 12.0 I could only use the 2.4 ghz band outside (interference with aluminum siding I believe). Previous phones and iOS's did not have this problem and now my Xs is back to normal behavior with my home environment.

LTE is weak in my area of town for both Verizon and AT&T (which I have later of) so nothing to fix there but all phones including Xs (before and after this update) have worked fine for phone calls.

another thing that is happening, and also annoying me, is a problem with selecting text in boxes like this on forums like this
I try to select part of the text but it selects all of it :mad:
or it won’t stretch with the little blue dots
