It's people like you that really make me consider staying away from all comment sections ever.
Who would buy songs on iTunes when you can download them from Napster?
Why a touch screen on an iPhone when Blackberry and Nokia use keyboards?
Who needs a giant touch screen iPod when we have netbooks?
Your comment will be forgotten just like the rest that expressed doubt.
They tried this with an early Nano version and it wasn't a big seller as I remember...

2014 will be a good year.
Some people (like me) just prefer a slightly bigger phone that run iOS. What's wrong with that?
I agree with you, and I don't even think they need to shrink the bezel. The iPhone is perfect as is (which is why it outsells all the huge screened Samsung phones put together: Samsung gets its big sales numbers from small screened el-cheapo phones.)
Too bad I went over to Samsung already.![]()
Looking forward to the release and the comments from all those iPhone purists who have been laughing at any screen bigger than 4 inches.![]()
Well, I'm placing my money on it NOT being a good year unless something changes quite soon. I wouldn't even need to see the article on Steve Jobs's death to know that he's not alive anymore.
I'm a girl with baby hands, one handed use is nice but doesn't really work for me without a strain; admit it, portrait typing can be painful even for those with small hands. I actually liked typing landscape on the Galaxy. The best one handed phone I have had is the blackberry bold and that's because it's short, it's also the most pocketable.
I wear tight, tight, skinny jeans and the Galaxy S2 with a case fit. So... I kinda question what people are wearing that a bigger iPhone would be too big.
That said, I'm for the option of a 4.7 iPhone that's slightly wider and overall smaller than the Galaxy, and while I don't want it, people should have the option of having a Note size phone. I kinda don't care about curved glass but I'm sure when Apple releases it (probably 2015 or so), they'll make it useful.
What I really care about though is a digitizer, preferably on the iPad. The Note series has it and it actually makes me consider going android again (which was horrible and makes me want Apple to take a spin on it).
what's the point of a curved screen? Larger screen? I can see that, but do not understand what a curved screen is for.

How does a curved screen help anyone with anything?
Good point. 4.7 sounds a bit big for those that prefer one handed operation. Hopefully Applw gets this rightTo me, 4 and 5 inch iPhones make sense.
People who like the smaller screen size will still be able to have it at the same specs of the 5 inch, yet people who may want a larger screen will be able to get that.
Like I said before, why not just combine the iPad, iPod & iPhone lines and offer sizes in something like 4", 7" and 10" (and maybe 13"). All sizes have 3 options: Wi-Fi only, Wi-fi + Data, and Wi-fi + Data + Voice. That way, people can have the size they want and the features they want.
