I hope they won't drop the 4" size and don't go any further than, let's say, 4.7" with the same specs.

Also what's with people accusing others of being stupid sheeps just because they actually prefer 4"? Oh right, I forgot this is the internet and no one can have opinions.

Well that photo does show a downward curved display around the edges. I guess that's what it could look like if their going for a curved look.

i don't get curved glass but apple should make something to compete with the note. but the thing i REALLY want is pressure sensitivity!!! more for the iPad than the phone. this may make me wait to upgrade from my iPad 4. it's still working like new. i want to be able to draw with a real pressure sensitive pen. and have palm rejection.

Can't wait. When they say curved screen in this case its the edges that will be curved like the moto x (which feels really nice in the hand). They can make the screen almost 5 inches without making the phone any bigger (again similar to the moto x) and you won't have a giant monstrosity in your pocket.

I hope they add new features that actually take advantage of the extra real estate. All these pixels inches don't mean @%(& if the software doesn't take advantage of it. A pop up video play / text messaging app would be sweet.

I truly believe that the next iPhone will keep the 4in display and we won't see a bigger display. They just raised the screen size last year, and even though basically a iphone 5, they introduced a new iphone. This doesn't sound like apple. What made then successful was focusing on a few great products and the last time they deviated off that track we all know what happened. Oh, and that was a Steve job-less time as well.

Look at those two phones. Take the big one and remove the old-fashioned looking chin and forehead. Take away the side frames....not that much bigger is it?

And the curved glass makes it more comfortable to hold and access the screen, and it will look moderne too. Easier to slide in and out of pockets. The curved glass is stronger too, which could lead to.....thinner!!!!!!!!!!!

The present phones could use this form to also get smaller, but with the same size screen.

And there could be Nano Phones using this same form. Little jewels that would sell a ton.

Today's flat screens will instantly become dated looking and nobody will want one.

No....they will not release a curved screen in 2014...they can't even release ios7 without major issues. Apple has other major issues to deal with in 2014.

Yes. I'm so disappointed with iPhone users that keep complaining that 4" is too small.

Our job is to fully support Apple in every single product they release rather than criticize their decisions. When and if Apple decides to adopt larger screen sizes, they will do it in a better fashion than everyone else has done so far.

Apple is here to dictate our needs - none of us should need a larger iPhone for as long as Apple does not officially announce it. Like Steve said: "Consumers don't know what they want until you show it to them"

Sadly, you described a significant % of folks here. Just like there was no way an iPad mini was ever going to be released/be a hit - until the second apple released it.

I'm still convinced that 4" is the ideal screen size because this is what Apple told us before (iPhone 5 ad). I'll think otherwise only once Apple tells me to.

And you are winning the prize for the best Apple consumer.
Apple: "We know what people want because we are saying so".

I like the current iPhone size (coming from a long time android user)

If the iPhone goes big, I go back to Android. Hopefully VZW and google play nice next year.

And weren't they going to release a bigger screen this year? And if it doesn't happen in 2014, it's definitely happening in 2015.

Sometimes I think they just throw darts at a board and hope.

Looking forward to the release and the comments from all those iPhone purists who have been laughing at any screen bigger than 4 inches. :D

Larger Screen = Rubbish and bad idea.
Curved Screen = Rubbish and a bad idea.

Until Apple make is of course :D

Wonders where all the people are now who said Apple will never make a plastic iPhone and than Apple will never make a smaller iPad?

All gone into hiding?

It should not about screen size alone - it should be about the amount of UTILITY you get out of the OS running on the phone. This is part of what makes a good user experience.

In the photo, the Android screen may be larger, but it actually has less utility, there are less visible apps on the screen, a lot of space between them, and a lot of blank space in the time/weather widget also.

I hate Apple but I was still remaining on iPhone as long as other manufacturer aren't capable or releasing decently designed phones and interfaces.

And I'm all for a bigger screen which should have come earlier, but never will a Touch Sensor touch my finger, f%ck the NSA and other agencies.

Yeah by the way, where are all the delusional Apple fanboy who always find reasons to defend the undefendable or attack other brands ?

Or should I say latecomer fanboys, because as a long time Apple user your really must be a couch potato who discovered Apple 2-3 years ago to be a fanboy now that there is no legitimate reasons...

And I'm not talking about the army of community managers on this forum who are here to sell the marketing BS...

The brand new 5S starts to look old already
There must be a name for this in psychology...
