if you ask me ever since Cook took over quality control has gone down hill on ALL Apple products

I've gotten a few random reboots. I don't know how many, I haven't kept track. At least a handful. Never more than once on the same day though. But now I'll be paranoid the next time it reboots to the Apple logo.

I don't know if it's any more frequent than just bugs in ios, which I assumed to be the cause. And I feel that if I did return my iphone then I will just get another one with the same kind of flash memory. Risking it being worse than before! iPhone roulette until the new ones hit the shelves?

well its true Jobs was a hard a** cuz he refused to make junk. Obviously Cook doesn't have that quality in himself

I'm curious how widespread this issue is. I have my 64GB 6 and now my 128 6+ and I haven't noticed any issues with either device.

I haven't experienced any crashes or boot issues but I do get a lot of momentary unresponsiveness. Example, I was trying to delete some apps yesterday. I'd delete one and go to click another but then for about 30 sec afterwards the screen was unresponsive. 30 sec later I get the pop up asking if I want to delete the app. Weird. I wonder if this is related or something else.

I wish apple would stop forcing their employees to come on these forums and quickly respond with, "It didn't do that for me... Mine is perfectly fine...". I get tired of those posts.

Could it be because they actually didn't experience these problems. A lot of people had wi-fi issues with OS X Yosemite yet I have not had a single hiccup. Not everyone has the same problems, dude.

Yikes, I have a 128 iPhone 6, hope nothing happens!

I will say that sometimes my phone freezes in system apps like messages and I have to put the phone to sleep and wake it up again...

I've been waiting so long now for my iPhone 6+ 64GB in SG that I don't care if it has MLC or TLC or can't stop chasing waterfalls, there's no scrubs of my order planned, 'cause Baby-Baby-Baby that phone is CrazySexyCool.

You just need Apple to TCB

It is getting colder, so maybe..............

I'm reluctant to get a 6 Plus now. I understand that there are or can be bugs in new products, but when the new product costs between $700 & $1,000 you'd think any bugs would be few and far between. It seems this issue isn't affecting every single 6 and 6 Plus, which is really strange. You'd think there would be a common denominator somewhere. I love Apple, but I'm reluctant to spend $1,000 on a 128 GB 6 Plus to chance having this kind of issue with it.

Same here, delays on my 4S, would say 8.1 is the culprit

So if everybody waits how do you think the bugs are going to be worked out?

MacDarcy must be an experienced Apple user, which is why s/he waits.

Same here. Apple since 1984 and I recommend to wait at least for 3 months after the release of a new product.

Used to wait for OS X and iOS also, but these have been pretty good for what I do.

And yes, selfishly we wait for the pioneers to fall until we jump in:)

I've just bought a 128GB iPhone 6 and (touch wood) I've not had any issues. But I guess this is what consumer protection laws, etc are for. I can take it back and get a refund if it's an issue or if it does develop a fault later (and there's a newer model without the issue) I can get it replaced.

I know you're excited but you're using your battery case wrong.

You shouldn't leave it on all the time. You should leave it off until your battery hits around 20%. Then you should turn it on until you hit an 80% charge and turn it off again.

Really? I know when I was using a Mophie on my 5 they highly recommended leaving it on and letting the phone run on their battery first. Well this is good to know, this battery I have seems to turn off once the phone is at 100%.

I can confirm that the 64 GB Plus is affected as well. (At least some units.)

Feels like software to me, but hardware affects software, so... who knows.

Since TLC NAND FLASH stores 1.5 times data, therefore your 128GB becomes 85GB. I ask myself a lot about how a software fixes hardware issues. For example the ANTENNAGATE how in the world a bad antenna design can be fix with software. Apple did promised a software fix update on this. They ended up fixing the carrier signal indicator showing a much more bars than it used to. My point is how do we know if it's really a fix or just software manipulation and trickery. After all what we see in the user interface, is not the exact representation of what is actually going on inside. How do we know if the fix is actually showing my actual available space. Since I can only now store 1.5x less data in the memory. How do I know after the update that I can still store 128GB worth of data, since I paid extra $200 for it. How do I know if that number showing is my actual capacity. How do I know if I only got an actual 2% battery life by the end of the day. How?
